    So whos gunna stay?

How many of you are going to stay loyal to Diablo 2 Ladder after the reset? How many people do you think we will lose/or gain after the ladder reset?

ohh nice to know some people will be staying. When it resets I doubt there will be much changes in the chars. Blizz never cares for their older games. (sc,scx,wc2,d1)

I'll play until the ladder resets, and then start playing on the new ladder, heh.
Probably keep my NL accounts up and play on those too.
I missed the last ladder start so I'm going to be competing on the next one, if it ever resets :p
Hopefully lots of people feel the same way, after all, this is THE GAME (imo, that is) despite being old and buggy.

    ~ Cheers

I think that most people that quitted diablo, will start playing again when ladder resets.

For me, I'll just keep on playing 'n playing.

    Cheers,

Tricky really. I guess I will play non-ladder, complete all characters waiting for stuff either from ladder or non-ladder to become completed. When ladder has stabilized a little, and there actually are characters at level 90, i will probably join the ladder too. Im not much for racing, I'd rather make the funniest/coolest chars around instead, which I am doing at the moment :p

on battle.net under WC3 it says:

Twenty Days Left for Ladder Season Two! (posted april 12)

Do you think the same rules apply for D2?

    I hope so.

Well, I have bought WoW a few weeks ago and am enjoying it thoroughly, but yesterday I started up the good old DII again and ended up playing for a few hours. So it's safe to assume I won't stop after the ladder reset either.

Swampbox: no, WCIII and DII ladders are handled entirely different. Their reset times have nothing to do with each other.

i think it would be funny to find out htat blizzard is deliberately delaying the end, to get people fed up with d2, thus making them switch to WoW.

(hehe, not working on me!) :)

I sold both of my businesses to take care of my 8 year old son. While he is in school though, I will be playing this game a lot right after the reset. My goal is not ladder ranking but wealth getting. I just want to see if I can get a lot of good gear early on. I do hope to be on the ladder rankings at least at first, though way down the list.

I don't see the point of having ladder rankings anyway. When this one started, there were a lot of level 99's in less than 6 hours. Still not sure how they did it so fast but it makes it impossible for 99.9% of us to get ranked at all. Personally, reaching level 99 is not a priority. If I ever do, that's great. As long as I can become powerful enough to beat monsters quickly on Hell difficulty, that's all I care about. I say they simply do away with the top 100 because it's a joke and meaningless.

Not sure what I'll do with my soon-to-be NL characters....

Lot of lv 99's in less than 6 hours?
There was a page somewhere that shows the results after 7 or so hours the ladder started and the highest was ~ 85 or so. Getting to lv 99 takes days, no matter how you play the game.

That was an error, Blizzard announce it. Some of the old ladder characters were appearing on the new ladder. They fixed it soon after.
