So does Diablo still Walk the Earth?

Surely all the SoJ's are sold by now - or does he still appear and if so, how often?

As long as their is SOJ 's their will be dclone walks

It's much less frequent now though.

I used to hunt dclone often , he'd walk 1-2 a night
now he seems to walk like once a week

usualy I go to op dclone to see where he is, then try to find that server.

good luck

As long as people still play this game, there will be duping.

As long as there is still duping, there will be duped SOJs.

As long as there are duped SOJ's, people will sell them to vendors in order to spawn DClone.

So what you're saying is that in order to stop the DClone from trashing the place, we must kill all D2 players?

I'm in, now where did I put my shovel?

I've killed him twice in the last few days.

I generally leave one or two machines running when I'm not playing, looking for the clone. Clone sitting. And this has led me to doubt that all clone summonings are a result of people selling duped SoJ's. Many times you will see a series of stones sold quickly and then the clone arrives. These are obviously organized clone summonings. But I also see ocasionally a pattern that I cannot believe is due to SoJ selling. You will get one SoJ sold, then nothing for hours. Then maybe another one or a few will be sold, then nothing for hours. I have seen this happen for several days before the clone finally arrives. Now if I had duped SoJ's to sell, I would use them like the first example. What sense does it make to sell one or two, here or there? Then wait a few hours, where the server can crash and you lose the game, and waste your SoJ's? It just doesn't feel like something people would do. Rather, IMO, there are occasional clone summonings that are caused by the server themselves, kind of a random event. Has anyone else witnessed this type of thing, or have any confirmation of my belief?

I've had two separate 1 Soj sold events occur in the past week or two.

EDIT: I don't actually hunt dclone, but if I'm Mfing and I get a Soj message I just idle in the room for a while.

I've tried hunting him a bit these days now that I have a character that can take him down (I would love another anni on HC, lost my only self found one) the problem I run into is after knowing a hot IP, is getting on said hot IP. Thanks to realm down, its hard to keep making games until I find the right IP.

I try and just make with my sorc, then check the IP, if its the right one, I'll stay still and bring in my Zealot, if not, I hit up Countess, Andy, Summoner, and Mephy, then make another game while hoping it to be right.

They really need to revamp how he spawns a bit, or not make it so utterly random, make it like the torch quest or something, were you can legitimately spawn him yourself with enough hard work. Or use the Soh not SoJ. Meh...

That and alt-tabing out to run command-> netstat is annoying. And I don't like window mode.
