So, Barb gods, what kind of barb ???

Hello all-

looking to re-create my favorite mf char in 1.09 ww baba. He was lvl 92 in HC, and with SS, CCB, eth skullers, lots of mf charms, he was the bomb. I have assembled a pretty decent item base:

eth bb
w/runes for oath
unique mithril coil (11 dr)
ss
gore riders

seems like a nice setup to re build my mf baba. the question is, what kind ? WW ? conc ? zerk ? This is most of the items that I have left, what kind of barb would you build with these items to start with ? Some one to do some mf'ing with, but who can kill in hell(this is hc by the way...)

Aha, the good old "attempt at mf barb that still can kill fast and survive". It's a very difficult thing to do actually, because if you want mf you sacrifice stuff like resist, dmg reduce and stats. For mfing, you will need either a ww barb or a frenzy barb, conc and zerk are great but they're not really the fastest killers. Frenzy can work great in the Pit, but will be quite dangerous elsewhere. So ww is the safest option. I'm not a HC player, but I think this set-up should work:

-Oath BB
-Verdungo
-Storm
-Gores
-Raven
-Highlords
-and then the second ring is up for debate. Wear a second raven for dex+ar, a bul ring, an mf ring, Whisp, all possible. The ring I *loved* on my barb was a dwarfstar. Yes, a simple dwarfstar. For these three reasons: Magic Damage Reduce By (12-15), +40 to Life, Fire Absorb 15%. The life is just sweet, the fire absorb helps a lot vs some dangerous monsters (diablo anyone?) and the magic dmg reduce seems small but helps a lot. It's your choice there
-armor: skulders for mf (possibly eth or upgraded for more safety), or a CoH, but thats expensive.

I think I might try this now. Maybe Howl + Leap Attack. That'd be a bugger getting enough mana to make that work at all. Hmm. And it'd have to be one hit kills I guess. Something of a challenge.

I've made one. Mana isn't a problem, because you leech a massive amount from a leap attack. The problem is actually that there is/was a bug with leap attack, but I can't really remember what it is...

You don't need howl either, because leap is a synergy and has massive knockback radius at high levels.

You mean where Leap Attack was considered a ranged attack for the purposes of Iron Maiden? It does make sense that IM does work against LA now since you jump, land, and then swing.

make a pure mf barb with only mf stuff, shit the dmg resist and that crap, use two gulls,shako,skullder,goldwrap,mf boots,chancies, etc etc

max find item bo and whatever you wish, dont need any attack

First you need too make a solid javazon that can clear hell cows easily,(or just have a friend who has javazon) then when all are dead the barb goes and uses find item on all corpses ,


there are however cons about this build cause you need a 2 cd keys(so you can kill with java and then mf with barb) or you need too have a friend that kills the cows and that means sharing drops!
