Corona's really not terrible, in comparison to American traditional beers.

I prefer Tecate, and Dos Equis makes me physically ill. I've never figured out precisely why, but the entire Coors line has the same effect (plus there's a Honduran brew which I forget the name of). Coors often touts a cold filter process, so maybe that's associated.

Why do we need a poll; why not just... talk about it? :p

The Wu-Flu can't touch me. Krischan's Corona vaccine has me covered. I have my Asian gf locked in the attic in quarantine, however, for the safety of our cats.

A respiratory disease with a 14-day incubation period (infectious throughout), with an alleged ability to re-infect suffers who survive it, which somehow "got out" into the world, with a people-with-weird-diets cover-story that is basically trolling?

Why are we not referring to it as "Captain Trips"? Is it because we all hate faded hacks with rabid Democratic tendencies?

I'm not sure about exact numbers, but it seems most people who died from Corona were rather old, i.e. those who have a good chance to die from any disease they happen to catch. Germany had 27,000 flu deaths in 2019, for example and I'm not aware of any panic involving it. Until we know more, it's certainly a good idea to do something about keeping it in check as much as possible, just in case. However, people will keep on dying of something at some point, the distribution of death causes will always sum up to 100%.

I linked this paper to Deb(some might remember that she is a biochemist) back on Jan 5th, the day that the WHO issued a travel warning and 6 days after the first case was identified. I told her that Captain Trips was either released accidentally or purposely by someone working inside the BSL‑4-level National Bio-safety Laboratory in Wuhan. I predicted a pandemic by the end of Feb.

This is a bio-weapon.

Stop yer whining. Nobody's voted anyway.

Well, that, but "Captain Trips" was hemorrhagic in nature. The pneumonic plague outbreak China is ALSO suffering has all but disappeared from the n00z, so either it has run its course or China's handling it even more poorly than they did this one.
Pretty sure that's the one that originated in the quaint practice of eating raw marmot liver to increase the size of the consumer's... er, libido.

Can't make this shyte up.

What's truly irritated me is "OMG EVERYONE PANIC!!" combined with "WHY ISN'T TRUMP DOING SOMETHING?!" I suppose these erudite people want Trump to invade China so they can impeach him for it?

Bottom line in my eyes is that this isn't worse than a normal influenza outbreak - actually somewhat less. The real culprits have been Chinese socialism's abysmal health care (you don't get medical care if you don't have cash on the barrel head) combined with Premiere "Pooh" Xi trying to suppress information. I've contact with a Chinese Christian whose family is still in country, and we're definitely getting a warped picture. For example, while it may not have been an outbreak that started in early 2019, it was definitely 'active' long before December 2019, which is when China finally had to admit the problem.

Still going with the "eating weird shit" cover story. Cool.

If you are not following Titania McGrath on Twitter ...

... well ... I have no idea how you can stand being you.
I *was* following "her" but of course I'm staying in Twitter jail as a protest. If I wanted to do it right I'd just delete my account.

Therefore I strained my eyes trying to read your blurry "AF" embed, because if I click it I get snotface Jack's lying claim that he's considering my appeal. It's an open lie, which makes it worse; they archived my appeal months ago without even looking at it.

Who is prepared to stay home for 2 to 6 months? Load up on TP my friends.
I would. I would try to buy a diesel generator before, if possible. I currently have about 2500 litres of fuel oil (which is the same as diesel) in the tanks, so my reserves of refrigerated food wouldn't spoil in case electricity breaks down. I also have a lot of food in cans and glasses. I think it would last for 6 months... typical "rural German" habits, I guess.

The noise of a diesel generator is an invite for anyone fleeing the city to come and steal your shit. Hope you have a shotgun.

My house if 50m away from the street and the fuel tank is behind the house. I doubt that anybody would hear the generator... but in such times it's certainly a good idea to be armed. I have a couple of vicious garden tools for close combat, but that's probably not enough.
