    Snow!!

    Snow!! In San Antonio!! W ... T ... F...

Seriously, I'm a little excited. I haven't seen snow since I moved from Lil Canada (Minnesota) over ten years ago. Ok, so it wasnt really snow, more like light freezing rain or sleet, but it is San Antonio snow. It is the closest this god forsaken place has gotten to snow since 1985, so everyone my age thinks it is snow. If it can be compacted into what the natives here call snowballs, by god, it must be snow.

It was odd weather here aswell. Its -50one week then its turns to 46 degrees out. In fact it set a new record. 46 is t-shirt weather here.

Yes, 46 is t-shirt weather everywhere.

too bad it's already above 32 degrees here so all the ice will begin melting. Although, I saved an iceball in my freezer for posterity.

Snow's great and all, I agree. I've just seen a bit too much of it in the past few weeks. We got something like 10 inches over 2 days I think. I'll just mail you guys some down in the southern US if you want. That sound good?

I still have trouble wrapping my head around the idea that there are people who've never seen snow.

    It's overrated.

The "snow" on my ground is really just four inches of ice. I (at 160lbs) can stand on the surface of the snow on one foot, and you can slide down the snow as if it were a sheet of ice...I just hope it melts so we can get fresh snow.

I thought it was crazy that there were people who hadn't seen snow when I first moved here. Then I remembered I was in Texas, the land of people who still think their state is an independent country and don't believe in crossing any kind of border. Except to go to Mexico to visit family or buy small children.

I think I'm going to take some inspiration from Calvin and keep my snowball in the freezer until summer. Then I'll take it outside and see if it can melt faster than eggs cook on the sidewalk.

    Freak!!!!!

Actually you're not missing much. I could go the rest of my life without seeing it anymore. But I know what it's like to have too much every 6 months.

The snow I USED to get would come down and turn into brown 7-11 Slurpee as soon as it hit the ground.

Now it doesn't even come down as snow anymore. It just rains brown slurpee.
