Smiter VS WW/tele Babr

    Smiter VS WW/tele Babr

    Hi all, I have a question for everybody, what if we take a very good smiter versus a very good WW/tele barb, what build will have an advantage, let's say two players of equal skill level (very high) are playing, who is gonna win?

    And one more question, is there a paladin build that has advantage over tele/ww barb?

    I'm thinking ww barb will win. smiters have poor range. o and hammerdins and some foh are nice.

    its comes down to gear if they have "equal" experience...most like the barb will win

    cant agree

    the only moment when smiter is loosing his def is when u smite

    fighting well skilled tele/ww barb just simply dont be nuts dont hold shift + smite you are going to die this way

    take him from the fron or from the side otherwise fight his way tele on him than smite to the end

    use 45 + DR walk/tele dont run

    smiter is loosing to ww/tele barb ONLY if smiter follows him

    using grief ba smiter has the same range as ww/tele/grief/botd/ba barb

    be smart do not be kamikaze DO NOT follow wwing barb

    Skilled wwing + dual wielding grief + beast > smiter (even more so if u swap beast for doom and put clegs on, before u say bm, ill reply that an attack that is unblockable ignores def and does upward of 10k damage sounds very bm to me).

    In my opinion, Hammerdins is the one Pally build that does very well against WW tele barbs since the Barb can't afford to WW indescriminately and has to be very cautious or else risking death in 2-3 hits of those flying hammers. Hammerdins who know how to charge/desynch... even better :thumbsup:

    Just make sure to have plenty fhr gear/charms on... tank his first WW (with Hoz and high lvl Holy shield this should be easy enough) and as he passes through Hammer his @$$. Chances are he'll have got hit atleast once (which means his hit points will be down by a half/third) then you can go on the offensive and run him down.

    hammerdins, they have more chance to beat tele/ww barb.

    in all honesty, it really depends on the luck of the situation. a well built and well skilled smiter *is* a ww barbs worst melee type enemy, excepting maybe a zealot with grief and decent defense and getting rid of that worthless exile. aside from that, dual wielding grief/beast barb>= smiter. Don't assume that the barb can't lose, though.
    however, zealot>=dual wielding grief/beast barb because it might as well be itd and frankly, its gonna hurt a great deal more than the smiter. however, max block/bvb barb>zealot for sure and has far greater problems with the smiter due to lower life, defense/block being unnecessary for this matchup and having 1/2 the chance to hit the smiter. The point is, wait till the barb teleports and do a step to any side. as he starts wwing, step INTO the front of the ww and smite once or twice and get out. Don't follow the ww, and make sure run is OFF. as he teleports again, rinse and repeat. If he tries to throw you into fhr with the leap tactic, then hold still and hold shift+smite, or prepare to, at least. also, try to work your way to anything looking like an obstacle to prevent the dod. if he starts it, immediately shift+charge out and wait for him to come to you. He will likely try to teleport on top again, so make him waste his mana, potions especially. as fast as he loses it, he will be forced to come to you sooner or later. These are the only tips I can provide for the smite vs. wwbarb setup. Pretty much the same rules apply for the zealot, but only zeal once.
