Smiter Uber Question

Hello, I've read the 1pt Uber Smite Guide but some things still confuses me. The keys and organs.. whats the deal with that? Haven't seen anyone wrote what to do about the keys, I know organs are used to open the portal but where to the keys get in the picture? And also.. Treachery/Duress/Fortitude.. which armors you want to have it in? And Sanctuary... which shield it goes in? The Treachery... how to proc it? And how to get up your stats? I don't have a Anni nor Torch and I've heard people say they have just 60 in strength, wtf? Guillaume's Face req's 115..
I think I'd need some more hints too.. so just tell me what I need to know other than that

Treachery, proc it in Act 5, go outside and stand on fire, you'll know it's on when you become see-throughable, or look at your stats, and your Res numbers are Blue

My duress is in a Dusk shroud, forgot the base Def but now its like 1277 def
Archon plate, Wire fleece, all viable, anything under 120 Str requirement

my Sanctuary is in a [email protected] sacred rondache

I think most smiters fill all their slots with Charms except for 2 spaces to hold a Torch, since the main purpose of a smiter is to get torches

so, all those charms, could be STR charms, Anni, life, res, etc, the good stuff

also now I got a question for anyone else reading

whats your smite damage? I mean I have a decent set up, the mid level stuff according to the 1pt smiter guide and my Smite does 900 max with Holy shield on and Fanatic

simply put:

keys (3x3) - portals - uber andariel(1x3), duriel(1x3) and izual(1x3) - organs (1 from each) - uber trist (3 bosses at once) - torch

@tipme - im smiting around 1.1-1.4 k with a zaka and fanat, no extra skillers and only 1 pt in smite. Also Im wearing azurewrath which gives no additional dmg to smite iirc.

And you only need a draculs and around 30-50% crush blow to do uber trist. Even a life tap wand does work but I hate using it now after ive used draculs.

900 max smite should do. If I could knock out Uber Diablo for Anni despite having 500 smite damage, 900 damage definitely will do for Uber Trist. Max speed, crushing blow and open wounds are key..

Thanks, I got more answers than I thought, happily surprised :yes: So.. do I always get Torches from Ubers? Would be great if that's the case.

u always get an organ from a boss, and u always get 1 torch after u complete all 3 ubers.

As far as the three keysets go, the first one will open a random portal. the second one will also open a random portal... but it CAN'T open the same one as the first one, limiting it to one of the other 2 portals. The last keyset will open the one remaining portal.

This holds true AS LONG AS IT'S IN THE SAME GAME. So if you do all 3 keysets in the same game ur guaranteed one of each portal. If you do them in separate games it's possible to get repeats.

Can I put the 3x3 directly in the cube and transmute for all three portals at once? In case of disconnects etc (tends to happend alot on b.net)

don't think so, but ur better off doing 1 at a time precisely FOR the reason u stated.

So you transmute 3 keysets (one after the other) and open up all three portals. You go in the first portal and kill uber Izual. About to go into the second portal and you get disconnected.

Congratulations, you just lost two keysets since you never got to go in the second and third portal : \

I'd wait until you're done with first portal to open the second.

Worst case scenario you get disconnected, open a game, and end up with the same portal. You can prob trade the organs for others if u needed to. I don't think there's a limit on how many you can carry.

Oh, you're right. Didn't think straight, thanks for replying. ^^ Btw, what do you use to farm keys?

And could someone get me a pricecheck for all Torches, haha. You answered all my questions and now I have more :crazyeyes:

I use a cold sorc to run Countess and Summoner, and I use my zealot/smiter for Nihla since he tends to die far less often then my sorc.

The value of torches depends greatly on the stats. :/

A barb does well on nihla runs. Apart from the bugged vipers which everyone has problems with, he just jumps over most of the guys and whacks nilha no probs before he creates a corpse and CEs you.

And torches also depends on whether its a sorc or pala torch. Those two sell for multiples of ists depending on stats.

Hm.. yeh, my question was very unclear since it depends greatly on stats too. What about the keysets? 3x3's? I'll probably farm for the keys but hey, I might be very boored sometime :coffee:

I don't think it has been mentioned, but open the portals in different spots. If you open them in the same place...

Of course, but move a bit (even if it's just a few steps) before you open the next portal. If you stay in the EXACT same place, the portals will overlap and you won't be able to enter two of them!

I think thats just a matter of common sense. If you lack the sense to do that, you deserve to lose an organ...

and also 3x3 selling price is a mal but few ppl buy them.

Yah, about opening the same portal is kinda common sense ^^ Most people farming the keys themselves eh? How long could it take to farm 3x3? Could you do a Uber Tristrun everyday or does it take too long time to get the keys.

Eh Countess drops keys 1/10

Nhil I have bad luck with him plus takes forever to get to him....

After that the Mini Ubers as long as you open the portals in the same game the organs are cake if you can kill them.

Once you have the 3 orgs your ready for your trist run..... So if your lucky can easily do 1+ a day.

its gets pretty damn boring tbh after a while. And sometimes you get dry spells where you do 30 runs and get nothing, sometimes u get rushes.

I trade keys tbh. So far all my torches have come from 2 decent trades - ist for 50 terror/hate keys and um for 9 dests. The rest comes from nila runs. About 9 torches so far.
