Screw the lifetap equipment, look for a kris of lifetap (level 2-5) once you reach level 68-78 you can find them in the shops in Act3 and 5 in nightmare and in Act 1/2 Hell. I got myself a Kris of level 5 lifetap (50% life per hit!! 26 seconds! 92 charges!) and I can use it constantly with no huge repair bill because you can usually use it on an entire group of monsters if you wait to cast it at the right time. It makes your melee merc near invincible on nonboss characters. Also Atmas scarab is a must if you can find it, I found one and it owns when it casts level 2 amplify damage because it takes the pyhsical resist down by -100 and on hell it definitely owns. You dont need Exile and draculs if you can find a magic "of lifetap" weapon, you can run in and out of town until the shops roll one and your merc will thank you (After taking such a beating in hell).
