If you use smite, you're going to say its melee so you can continue to wreck all other melee classes.Hells said:Anything your opponent HAVE to be in within the range of your weapon is meleeI'm really surprised that there is any discussion about it,,
Soooo smite is melee and charge is not cause you dont need to be in range of weapon and oh ya for hammer you need to be in range of hammer as well its missle (or it could be blocked) its not a spell (or it can be resisted and certanly would not able pierce target...)Hells said:Anything your opponent HAVE to be in within the range of your weapon is meleeI'm really surprised that there is any discussion about it,,
I wouldn't tell anyone to hadicapp themselves unless it was a dueling league. I personally do not like to take my V/T and duel a zealot cause it is just a one sided affair. There is no point in a duel if you already know the outcome.Xircon said:So, this thread starts off not to bad. A nice friendly debate. Then I think some people take it personal. I mean, who would dare have a different opinion then someone else.
Then TheQuestionForumMan opens things up with calling people ********. (Thats one day). THe arguments keep on heating up. Some even suggest ending it. But Fonis post mortem (3 days) really kicks into high gear. Adds mor emore insults (2 more days). HandofElysium should have just stayed out of it, but got into it anyways. Fonis post mortem just could not stop and now gets the permanent ban.
Anyone else?
EDIT: To add to the debate, either duel the people, or not. Your choice. But I have to ask this, would you tell people to take off there botd to duel because you did not believe it was fair? Or would you tell an Assassin to not use Burst of Speed? Smite was given to paly's to use. Either duel them, or not. But you do not have to fight about it.
Xircon, although [cK]Extreme makes a point in that accepting that smite is melee would allow them to duel in games, I think it is still missing the point. Based on the definitions I looked up, using a shield to hit an opponent (a.k.a. smite) is melee. As for dueling or not dueling, that's up to everyone to decide.[cK]Extreme said:If you use smite, you're going to say its melee so you can continue to wreck all other melee classes.
If you dont use smite, you're going to say it isn't melee because its an overpowered skill that you can't beat.
End of story.
Both charge and smite is meleeTanatus said:Soooo smite is melee and charge is not cause you dont need to be in range of weapon and oh ya for hammer you need to be in range of hammer as well its missle (or it could be blocked) its not a spell (or it can be resisted and certanly would not able pierce target...)
LMFAO, oh jeez you have the most horrible reasoning ever. Hah,...real creative. I didnt read the whole thread but i REALLY hope this is sarcasm and that you're making fun of the ones that think smite is not melee. Very very funny and horribly flawed. Perfect sarcasmTanatus said:All right lets look in semantic deeper ...
Smite use mana to execute attack? BH use mana to execute attack ... both same here
Smite have short range, bless hammer have short range .... both same
Smite ignore target deffence, blessed hammer ignore target deffence ... both same
So since smite is melee then blessed hammer is melee too
I thought you wanted to get this solved since you care so much what people here believe. Why leave this argument now? The problem is not solved yet -_________-xpumafangx said:I feel bad that fonis got banned I am not going to argue any more. I will leave the subject alone.
