Small Problem

its currently 10pm here in indiana, and i cant acess any of the realms, i just download the game, i was just wondering if there down, or if there is something wrong with my comp or something.

You ... just ... downloaded the game? I think thats your problem right there. I didn't see any mention of the realms being down on the battle.net status forum.

Because you've downloaded the game, I'm not really prepared to help you troubleshoot your internet connection, firewall or router to help you get on the realms. Unless, I've mistaken you or something..

no no no i downloaded it from my cd, ok i said that wrong, i installed it, and it seems that its down, i use mcafee i think its blocked, not sure how to unblock it.

edit: atually i just went into it and clicked around a bit, found diablo 2 application blocked, i unblocked it, and i hope it will work now, sorry for the mix up, :) thanks for trying :)

Oh, sorry, it just sounded abit wierd.

Well, I don't have much experience with the McAfee firewall, but the error message would be pretty global. If it still doesn't work, let me know.

The firewall probably blocks connections to the outside, except for a few standard ports, e.g. port 80 (http). Allow outgoing connection requests to port 4000 (and 6112 as well IIRC) and it should work.

Don't allow any incoming connection requests !!! I don't know how to achieve this with the MxAffee firewall, however.

well after messing with it, found d2 was blocked, i unblocked it, downloaded the patch, and now it works :) great to be back.

im on east ladder.
