    Slows target by X% attribute?

Anyone help clarify "slows target for 35% attribute? I know what it exactly does but happen to get this on pair of gloves but was wondering how does one activate or get the attribute?

Is is as soon as u wear it all targets are slowed to 35% or is it every hit or something to that affect ?

    Cheers

    Kyo

This mod should kick in as soon as you hit a monster with a physical attack. Hitting it with your sword or bow etc.

On a similar line of questioning, if slow monster X% cumulative? for example if a monster has a speed of 100 (for the sake of easy maths) and my clay golum hits and slows him by 30%, his speed is now 70 right? Now if i poke him with Blackbog (50% slow monster), is his speed now 20 (cumulative, 30+50) or 35 (50% of 70)

    Sloooooowz

If you really wanna slow monsters/players..etc. Put a point in decrepify and clay golem. Then buy a Holy freeze merc. Run or teleport  up to unsuspecting people/monsters and

    BAM! frozen

    BAM! Decrepify

BAM! golem punches you in the face
(i feel like that chef guy on tv.)

    The monster/character can barely move.
it's really fun when they try to run away and take 2 steps over a 10 second span. leaving time for my merc or revives to slaughter.
or just be mean and spear em' :innocent: "oops"

I enjoy doing this to other chars, sometimes ill wear Clegs and stab em' with my wizard spike. rofl.

try it, it's really funny. hyP.

    Hi Mad Mantis,

Would you know how long the "slows target by X%" works, for example, after hitting the monster? Thanks.

That mod should work as long as the target remains alive. I'll see if I can get this verified, but current testing lets me to believe that it is.

whats the maximum you can slow something? does the 50% from decrep count as "slows target x%" or is it worked in differently? I know my golem + decrep = about 110% atm

IIRC 100% was the maximum slow.

It is actually 90% per source.

Each minion/hireling/player is considered a source.

    So it works like this

    Necro 90%
    Clay Golem 63%
    Holy Freeze 54%
    Decrep 50%
    Mercenary 90%

    so.......
    1 X .1 X .37 X .46 X .5 X .1 = 0.000851 or .0851% of original speed or slow monster by 99.9149%

Since a source is maxed at 90%, you can NEVER reach 100%slow. But you can get really close.

I think, since Holy Freeze does damage now, and not just slowing, mages may not add to the benefit of the HF Aura.

That can indeed be the case. Since HF is not a pure slow aura anymore, but also has the chill effect from the cold damage, the Mages should not add anything in terms of slow.

I never truly did find out if the "Chill" effect from cold spells is considered to be in the same category as %slow. The cold spells are a true mystery. They also can freeze target too, which may or may not be similar to say...99%Slow or something.

More investigation is needed to determine any correlation between the Chill Effect, Freeze Effect, and %Slow.

    Decrep has a time limit.

Holy Freeze wears off just like every other aura. How long does an aura stick? Can you slow down Diablo, head back to town, go run to the fridge for a bear, and come back and still have a disabled Diablo?...

Does the %slow caused by weapons have a time limit? If Janereux can give us the low-down, we will soon know.

I've been contemplating putting up a Slowamancer guide. It's item-specific, so I don't really feel that it is an actual "build" of sorts. ...and I'm too lazy to put it up, too. If any of you feel the urge to post a Slowamancer guide, you have my blessing.

I used Generals Tan Do Li Ga (The unique flail-thingy, with 50% slow) with NM Meph, when I switched to another weapon that has no % slow, It lasted about 15 seconds...

I assume you have tested this more than once. That would be a slow time of 375 frames. Nice to know.
