Slightly OT: Explain this scam to me
Not sure where else to turn for help here, but this is technically the only "Blizzard community" I've ever been a part of.
So here's what's happening: I get an email from blizzard saying
"Hello Jimmy, you've requested to change your associated bnet email to <my email address> click here to confirm changes.
So what the hell: my name isn't jimmy and I obviously didn't come out of semi retirement just to send an email to blizzard for such an odd request....so I'm just trying to remember the manner in which I would get screwed if I authorized? WTF is the point to such a scam? anyone can make a new email addy.....
And another thing, is there any recourse? could I track the user who is mining for email addresses and sending this nonsense to blizz?
Or should I just delete and carry on like nothing happened?
Regards.
