Re: Skellimancer Stat Points

this is confusing....

would this be a worthy arguement??

untwinked=full vit
twinked=max block

and another question, im level 44 right now with around 50 item boosted points into dex and 108 in vit, im guessing i cant change to max block even if i wanted too.right?

You probably have the chance, you only need about 200 points for blocking with a high block shield. At 5 points per level + quests and gear you should be able to if you want to.

If I remember right, you need 222 points of dex for 75% block at lvl 99 with Homunculus.

It doesn't really matter, I think that someone else mentioned this already but... No matter which way you go you will eventually run into a situation where you had wished you had gone the other.

It isn't like a barb or druid where you are going to end up with over 5k life if you go vit and 1.5k if you go block. you are looking at the difference between 1100-1400 hp, either way will work fine.

another fact is that they are useful in the same number if scenarios

Roughly. It's spear cats vs souls. Other stuff are blocked by your minions unless your playing sucks.

Hit them with Dim Vision to make them dummies or cast Clay/Fire Golem close by them to draw their attention.

Not quite true. Dim Vision disables gloams completely, but not spear cats. When your skellies come in their melee range they will throw spears with Pierce, so they can still hit you. Same is true for Vipers; they are also still dangerous when curses with DV.

I prefer to hit the ones in the rear with attract, so most of the spears go away from me. But because they have such a long vision range, they start throwing before I can see them. Makes me do some fast footwork (yay FRW!). It's the Pierce that I hate (like Vipers and similar in effect to Gloams' lightning). For whatever reason, I just hate them more; I can dodge lightning more easily.

Spear cats in act 5 pierces. Rather, I should say they are bugged that they won't hit your minions.
