You can use LT with some succes. You can also TP to town and have the curse removed. Raising new Skellies is also an option. Or get a pally with Cleansing.

Anything melee dies very fast when cursed by IM. Only thing besides what MM said to prevent your skellies from biting the dust from act 4 mages would be to cast a clay golem right next to the mages when you run into them. It directs their curses toward him, and lets face it, an IMed clay golem is in as much danger as an IMed Skellie mage. Another strategy would be to use attract/confuse when near them. You can't AI curse the act 4 mages, but they usually have some of the act 4 knights with them and they'll probably direct their curse-love in that direction (if you're quick enough, and if the knight is close enough to them.)

I just thought of this, but have never tried it in all my years of necromancy:

If you bone prison an OK will it try to melee itself out of the prison instead of curseing?

For me may be tp to town is a good idea. Because I almost always hidden behind the skeletons and cast CE. I even not see them in the screen :teeth:

Attract or confuse in my experience seems to get them to change the curse too

Nice try. OK's count as Act Bosses when it comes to AI curses.

Ya I know that, but there are almost ALWAYS other monsters around. If they are up close and personal, then the OK's often switch to decrep (using the same theory as throwing a CG at them).

That might work. I'll have to try it. But is still doesn't solve the problem of Skellies dying to IM. When cursed there is only one thing you can do.

I am a really big fan of attract, and use it all the time as a part of normal strategy. I also use it in the CS and didn't really notice much trouble with IM. Yes, it will show up, but it seems change to something else pretty quickly most of the time.

    Maybe I've just been lucky.

Nice idea to have a self curse(Doesnt sound like a good thing?). Still doesnt solve this problem any way ;)
Skellys just die a little bit slower, but still dying :D
Maybe they remain just enough to be a helpfully tanks for your party members, idk. :)

HOS - nice choice in music! They are one of only 2

music groups I have ever seen in concert (it was in during their Somewhere in Time tour back in about '87/** at the SF indoor colloseum - yeah I know, me = older than dirt.) They put on a great show and didn't even get TOO mad when some dork in the front threw his shoe at them! :grrr:
