check the build section for some nice guides, they really cover it all. although you will be playing untwinked, I guess you can still get a rough idea of what to get and so.

You're good to go, now get yourself some summons, or you can base your build off of some ctc items and synergize the ctc skills.

All good advice above, to be sure. Since you're playing single player untwinked, I would recommend at some point rerolling your act 1 map in normal enough times to get a good Andariel map, and knocking loose at least one Angelic Ring and an Angelic Amulet. It will give you a ton of AR over and above anything else you wear, and make running NM Andarial a lot easier. NM Andy can drop the class specific uniques, which means I do believe she can also drop a ribcracker. Snag one of those, roll up either a Smoke or Lionheart, and you're good to go into hell (especially if she drops a Jalal's too, as then you're also only 6% away from 86% FHR). Be sure to hang on to any mid runes you get along the way, cubing them up as you go, and with any luck at all (and possibly a few extra countess runs) you'll have what's needed to upgrade the Ribby. Last thing I'd mention, since it drops pretty frequently in hell, is getting a Bstar on switch for phys immunes. With a shael rune it'll hit the same speed as Ribcracker, and with all the elemental damage, it'll chew through phys immunes in record time. Combine it with a Tiamat's Rebuke if you can find one, for more Elemental damage. Hope this helps, and if nothing else, Kirah is our resident untwinked wolf expert, so I'll refer you to her from here :D

Thanks for your replies.

But how can I understand that an Act I map is a good Andariel map and how can I reroll my map without deleting my character?

You go to another difficulty (normal/nm/hell).

A good andy map is a small one, making it faster to run to her :wink3:

Some other stuff to look for : Tir El in a flail or great axe is GREAT for normal. It's relatively fast, decent damage for the difficulty. Ort Sol in a pelt with useful skills can save a few runs looking for like a Tarnhelm or something, and prolly my fav low level runeword is Stealth (Tal Eth), since for some reason when I play untwinked the D2 Gods are against me on finding frw boots. On the offchance you happen to find the whole set (quite likely actually), Isenhart's even isn't too bad, especially if you have Sigon's Belt/boots/gloves and Angelics for jewelry. That's almost item for item my twinking gear, and it can be found within a few hours of running act 1 bosses.

Another option I forgot to mention earlier for PI's, and it also works in the Chaos Sanctuary against IM, is getting a magical wand with a crapload of Lightning damage and throwing two shaels in it. It'll be nice and fast, and with a Tiamat's or a socketed shield with ele damage jewels, it'll clean house against the PI's still, and more importantly it won't autopwn you if you get IM-ed with it. Won't do much for leeching back life, but with any luck you'll have some summons out for crowd control to give you time to mop up those pesky OK's before it becomes a real issue.

Single player doesn't mean alone. We MP over LAN and/or TCP/IP. The SPF is probably the largest sub-forum on diabloii.net.

Welcome to the wild, wild world of Wolves!

Please consider the ever popular Lore helm. Those +1 to skillers is very nice and the extra lightning resists are helpful. Smoke is the poor man's COH. Consider the carrion vine as an one point wonder for post battle healing and ability to clean up the corpses. I'm not totally convinced you should max werewolf all that early. Focus on lycan and later fury and add points into ww as needed.

I tended to go the fury wolf / summoner route. I used the summons early on when I wasn't trying to max fury. So during the pre-30 levels, I put a few single points into the summons tree to help distract the enemy. But that's just my style. Have fun!

good luck and good hunting!

Going to another difficulty means that you should reach that difficulty at first. If you are at lvl20, just finishing Andariel, you can reset your map by creating a Multiplayer game via TCP/IP.

Yeah, I didn't think of that
