Sin WW attack speed

Hi guys, haven't played in a while and was wondering what affects a sin WW speed.
Of course weapon speed and burst of speed, but what about those:
1. speed from other gear (ammy, helmet...)? I'm pretty sure it doesn't, but i just saw someone recommending to add ias/res jewels in headgear... :undecided: After checking out this thread: http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=229326, i realize that these indeed don't affect the speed. I'm still unsure about the next one though:
2. run walk speed: I seem to remember that barbs with lots of FRW would hit more or WW-move faster... Is that correct or I'm I totally wrong? :brainiac:

Anything else? (I guess fanat would but that's out of the question...)

PS: read through the ghost guides and it reminds me the good old 1.10 days. Ghosts were my favorite duelers by FAR! They might not be able to kill every class of good duelers, but the versatility makes them so much fun. I can't wait to make one again. :)

Run/Walk does indeed effect the moving speed of a whirlwind.


In fact, that is part of why Barbs are so much better with the skill than Assassins. WWsins move so much slower than Barbs do. It makes triwhirling harder in my opinion... :{

Whirlwind sins do indeed move slower and they have less range, but its still completely possible to triwhirl with one.

The recommendation of socketing IAS on helms has nothing to do with WW speed, its for trap laying speed which is also based on claw speed, IAS and off weapon IAS. Any Weapon with a base speed of -20 or more than 14IAS will hit the WW speed BP, the only place this can be a problem is with Jade Talon, which needs to be Shael or IAS jeweled or it will miss the BP. It could also happen with a slow fools claw, but in such a case the best option is simply to find a better fools.

Nah. Less run/walk makes triwhirling harder but as Happy said you can still do it.


It's just about getting used to it. Using life/res is better.
