Does magic find% affect the quality of the magic/rare/unique items dropped?

No.

It only increases the chance of an item being magic/rare/etc.

Magic Find only effects the chance that an item dropped will be magic/set/unique. It does not have any bearing on Rune Drops, Gambling, Item Quality.

You still have the same odds on rune drops with or without magic find.
