Simple classes to start PvP with?

I wanna foray into the PvP scene, but I'm not exactly ready to take on some of the more vicious PvP'ers, mainly because I've been strictly PvM for the longest time. What are some builds that allow a PvP newbie to ease into the scene without getting raep'd TOO bad?

I'm not talking about things like abs, cuz that happens to a sorc pro as well.

IMO a FBer is cheaper to equip (at least for the very poor ), got only one main attack instead of 2-3, and requires less hotkeys (no walls, prisons, golem, curses, revives).
Basically you ''only'' have to avoid your opponent and spam your attack, there doesn't have to be THAT much aiming involved neither.
Spam into your opponent's direction and a few fbs are hopefully going to hit, at least if your opponents are not much more experienced than you are.

you can do that on a boner with spirits except its even easier because they tracked tele like crazy and spaming and you will get kills just like that

id go with sorc>nec to start learning.. sorces are easier, just aim and right click. but necs if you really wanna get good.. you have to be skilled

Tee hee, go with a nova sorceress. You don't even have to aim, its dodge - and attack when theres an opening. Of course, to get really good at one, it takes hecka practice, and there's lots of hotkeys (teleport, telekinesis, nova, the prebuff hotkeys, static field, charged bolt, etc.). However, to do semi-decently you only really need nova and teleport and prebuff hotkeys.

oh, another point for a sorc is, that even with bad-mediocre equipment, sorcs can have a lot more active hitpoints, via ES.

Fire Ball sorc
Bowazon
Windy druid
WW barb

I think are easy to use and can be very good with cheap gear.

I find that a ww barb is one of the most complex chars to master, definitly not a char for beginners.
requires really good knowledge about general dueling strategy, full control over your char (whirls are hard to manage) and good reflexes/namelocking skills.

the other 3 more or less yes.

Fireball Sorc looks like a winner for me (Poor windys are kinda ridiculed, and I'd definitely be a poor windy).

So would the stat setup be
20 Fireball
20 Fire Mastery
20 Meteor
20 Telekinesis
1 Teleport/ES/prerequisites

And have an emphasis on FCR gear?

The ww barbs basics are easy, mastering the play-style is harder. Anyone can tele+ww and shoot with a widowmaker, but learning perfect tri-whirls and leap tele jumping is harder. Fireball sorc is pretty ez, 2 buttons, no skill switches, good damage. Just tele and spamm, with a 200 fcr ES sorc u dont even need a good aim, just fill the whole screen with a barrage of FBs. Windy druid is a bit harder but still one of the easier, tele-stomp + tornado spamm isnt that hard either. Bowazon is imo easiest by far. Guided arrow & multiple shot spamm, just stay out of the opponents screen and bury them in a hail of arrows. Bonemancer is good for pvp scince it cant be sorbed or anything but still takes a little more skill than the other chars, A LOT more hotkeys and more active skills.

For beginners psn necros are pretty good. A well build poisonmancer can be very leathal scince Psn nova can kill (if a psn nova hits a 1hp char he dies even tho the psn damage over time won't kill him) and isnt very hard to play. Tele & spam huge range psn novas, possibly put up a few walls and use some curses. Infinity ES Nova sorcs are pretty cool but Im yet to face a really good one.

My frist pvp character was a smiter and it was very easy to use in pvp. Assuming you have the funds for a smiter it seemed to me to be an easy class to learn with. You have smite and charge as attacks and you can just leave on fanat all the time and when you get faster fingers you can add in vigor to help desynch if you want. For ease of play the smiter was amazing since the majority of the time in pubs it was just charge-smite-smite-you win. However, in terms of actually improving your pvp skills beyond a certain point I found a smiter a bad choice as they can tank easy so I never really had to learn how to avoid damage and when I should and shouldn't attack.
I would probably have to agree with a sorc as a great starter since they can devistate alot of people if they aren't faced with a bunch of absorb gear. I would stay away from a bonemancer until you have some more experience. A bonemancer involves a lot of hotkeys and can be quite overwhelming at times.

Trapper is decent for the poor folks. Just watch out for abs.

Laying traps and MB'ing will let you kill lots of people. Trappers are the most effective cheap option just because MB is one of the best PvP skills and doesn't need lots of skillers to make it effective.

Bone Nec is Hard too many keys. WW barb usually needs good gear, and like Erians said its hard to master, but easy to right click basically.

Smiter is alright to start with, although you need above mediocre gear to be good. However this is just like a WW barb, in which you need time to get good against other classes.

FB sorc would be ideal to start out with. High Damage + Tele without a whole lot of gear.

Bone nec is not hard. At its simplest its no different to a fb sorc. Tele - spam spirit - tele - repeat.

Thats all of 2 hotkeys to 'master'. After that, remembering to tele away and recast armor/golem or switching to spear/teeth for sniping shouldn't be too much to ask for.

Tele-spam spirit-tele won't really kill **** unless it's a barb, hammerdin, or smiter.

Fb sorc is much easier to play for a beginner, but if you actually wanna LEARN, go with a nec.... bit of a steeper learning curve, but it'll make you much better

Harder on the mana though to use Nec, but once you master just the tele + spam technique you can learn to use bone wall for foh or other things and teeth for against stack.
