    Should I start playing again?

Some of you may remember me, I used to post around here... anyways, I'm debating... should I start playing this evil game again?? Last time I played D2 was almost a year ago I think. I'm wondering what all has changed in the economy, character builds, pvp, etc...

I miss hording gems, uniques and other stuff on ladder. I also miss hearing people say words like "pwn" and "l33t". And most of all I miss casting Blizzards all over PvP games and watching everyone die because they still think "Orb>Blizzard joo newb!"...

Anyways, enough rambling. I want you all to tell me I should play this wretched game so when I get burnt out or whatnot I can blame you all instead of myself...

As a quitting 1.09er, I say yes, but only if you try to let Diablo not take your life over.

I restarted this evil game recently and watched my grades drop ~10 points in all my classes. I'm down to playing only like 3 hrs on weekends now. Resist the urge to let yourself go. Find something fun to do outside of the house before you start Diablo.

MUAHAHAHAH!! YOU WERE NEVER REALLY GONE!! MUAHHAH!!

This game is like that star trek voyager eppisode about the giant spaceship eating worm that cuases its victims to think they are escaping when they're really being devoured in it's belly.

There is no quitting, there are only breaks of varying length of time.

    welcome back Cy.

Cyrus, even though I lurk more than I post I remember you. As long as D2 isnt a problem for you like it is for some people, I'd say theres nothing wrong with coming back. There are some fun builds to play and going untwinked is the best part of this game in my opinion... whenever I start a new character I delete everything on my account!

Like Halcyon said make sure you have other stuff to do... 3 hours or so a week seems decent, thats what I do, max.

Welcome back... if you were ever truly gone... =)

CYRUS! My old sparring partner! Welcome back! I quit myself, but it looks as if I may reenter the dueling scene myself. Nice to see another vet come back to the game, evil addiction though it is.

Yeah, there is no way that D2 would ever be able to consume my entire life.

    Work: 40 Hours a week
    College: 6 Hours a week
    Girlfriend: Everything else
Dexterity: Enough for max block at level 99

Sounds like a cool character build doesn't it.......

Wait, that's me I'm talking about. :flip:

Yeah, I'm gonna start an account on USEast Ladder tonight. Blast, I can't believe how badly I want to play this wretched game. I thought it was only a passing thing... it's kinda like me and old NES games. I still play Dragon Warrior games, Ninja Gaiden, and Mario Bros. like 1-2 hours a day when I don't have D2 or some other game. Gaming is just an essential little part of my life.

I hope to see you all online sometime. Not sure what my account will be though... maybe "Ipwntjoonewb" or something.... so sad.

Wassup Welt! Yeah, I'm thinking I'll like build a Hammerdin on ladder or something easy like that... to build up my items. Then comes the evil Blizzard Sorc so I can kill soulless Orb users. And then I'll prolly join a dueling league like Clan Honor. I'll just have to get rid of all my Iths though... darnit!

By the way... I like all of these new emoticons or whatever they are called. They're so cool I could drool!

Good to see you and others I recognize are still around. So many new faces... I guess that's a good thing though, the more the merrier!

Don't do it. There really is no good reason to come back if you sit down and think about it. The only possible reasons you would come back and play is:

    1. Your too poor to buy better/newer games.
    2. #1 applies and your also so fricking bored that you can't find anything to do like get exercise, go to the bar, or do the million other more constructive things that would be a better use of your time.

Bah, you can have a real life poopy - binging is the key. Live a real life for a few weeks, then splurge on a d2 weekend...which could turn into a d2 week...or maybe a d2 month...or...

Who am i kiddin. No worries be happy play d2 :teeth:
