Should i Socket my ViperMagi 34Resistance with a PTopaz?

i have a vipermagi that has 34resistance. i currently have 281MF. was tinking of socketing it witha ptopaz so i can hit 305MF.

question is, is it worth hitting 300 will i significant improvements over 281MF? or shld i just leave it

A P topaz is generally very cheap, I see no reason not to. Though, if you plan on obtaining better armor soon E.G. Tals then don't socket. But if you know your going to be using Viper for awhile by all means socket it, if you can spare the socket.

If you have spare socket quests, spare topazes, go right ahead. You won't see much inprovement maybe 1 or 2% more uniques. The only other thing you might want to socket it with would be more resitances, and that gets expensive.

Hel runes are not that expansive, and u can take socks out with Hel +portal thome in the cube.

Do it, if u regret u can always take the socks away and sock a Res jewel or um rune, once u get richer. OR if u really want to improve your MF u can ry putinga Wealth armor on, but you will loose 30FCR and resistis.

Short answer - yes
Long answer - yes you should
Very long answer - yes because having over 300MF-400MF is often recommended at optimum. Besides, with a viper thats nearly perfect res, socketing it with perfect topaz will increase its value (assuming you're playing multiplayer). As redground said, Hels are cheap and undoing it to leave it open for another char to use or socketing it with res.

yep on ladder us west. just found a shako, ist, rainbow facet, tal's ammy. after socketing it to 300 in 20 meph runs

That was a joke. There are NO breakpoints. There is only luck and the tiny little thing called MF, that helps the luck along a tiny little bit. The fact that behling socketed an item to give more MF has nothing to do with his luck with drop loot. :nod:
