BotD eth War Spike will be fast (-10 WSM), but not that damaging:
(202-225) - (324-360)

Go for it, if you want to have a unique weapon.

But to the question that is my dream weapon, so yes go for it. I watched 2 barbs with the same setup kill faster than anything ever. They said they had 20000 physical dam from WW. A hell minion run was the fastest consistant runs.

I think they were overdoing it a bit... Dam would more likely be around 3000/hit.

I believe there's a mix-up. The barbs were probably using War Pikes (no s), and the thread-starter hit the wrong button or something. I believe he's talking about War Pikes, just writing it wrong.

Well..It depends on what char you are making the weapon for. Barbarian? If so, is he going to be sword or spear or polearm? Is your character going to be for fast leveling ..magic find.. or poeple kill (pk)?

One rich player made a polearm for his hireling that had over 1200 maximum weapon damage.

For myself I would wait for an Etheral one hand weapon such as a Berzerker Axe then I can use a shield. Also using one hand weapon will allow you to more easliy sell the weapon later if you need to.

I think an etheral balrog blade might be good too. Other players know more than I do as I do not have the runes to make such weapons yet.

A warspike seems to me to be a good onehand weapon but i see more "zerker" axes in the trade channels.

I would rather have a CB, Pike or Zerker though.

That does look more like War Pikes than War Spikes, no?
