Should i get a 120gig iPod Classic or a 120gig Zune? Both are the same price.

I really dont know what to get. Both of them are 120 gigs, and both of them are $250.

I looked it up, and i cant find any real information about either. Some sites say Zunes break after a year, other sites say iPods break after a year. Some sites say Zunes have more battery life, other sites say iPods have more battery life.

I just want a real honest opinion, since i am torn between the two.

I got a $30 mp3 player that plays SD cards. I decided I didn't need to carry all my music with me.

Personally, I would buy a Zune because I like the screen better and I hate iTunes. I don't think there's too much difference in functionality between the two, or for that matter reliability.

do you really need 120g for an mp3-4 player?

most stuff can fit nicely on a 2-4g player
maybe 8-16g if you have videos

a good one shouldnt run over $50-100

I have a 30g Dell DJ from 6 years ago, and its finally full (and sort of acting up).

I really just want to put all albums i like on my MP3 player, because i have musical ADD, so i have tons of moods for different music.

I have an 80 gig iPod... it's more than half full. It's worked fine for quite a long time.

Have you had any battery problems? Or know anyone who had battery problems? Thats what i heard the biggest fault of the iPods is.

120 gig seems like overkill, I get by with 8 gigs everyday and it's not like uploading new music and deleting past ones on the player is such a problem. Besides, I don't like HD based players, battery dies quicker (I did not like the life on my ipod 30gb). That's why I went with a clix2 DAP, flash players all the way!

The battery has a pretty long life - I haven't noticed a decreased charge yet.

No, and it sucks. Neither does Ipod for that matter, but it is a ridiculous feature to omit.

I don't really view that as a feature, more as WHAT BEING AN MP3 PLAYER ACTUALLY IS.

Choose whichever one works with the software you prefer. I hear bad things about iTunes' performance on Windows, so if that's your platform these days you might want to look at the Zune instead. (If you intend to buy music/videos online get the iPod, since the store is better.)

I actually messed around with my friends Zune, and im really impressed. The software isnt all too bad, only bad thing i noticed is when you are loading artist information it takes a good bit sometimes. Other than that the software was pretty good, the Zune itself has some really cool features, and the movies actually have very good quality for such a small screen. I was really impressed with it. Plus it helped me realize how i kind of dislike iPod's little spin wheel thing, i never had a problem with it but i realized how i prefer just a regular scroll thing.

Go with an iPod. It has its problems, namely forcing you to use iTunes, but the Zune is just plain suckage.

That's so politically incorrect. We can't have the poor suckers who wasted money on Zunes feeling bad. Nor could ever suggest that Microsoft sucks at hardware. (Even if Office is THE ONLY good thing to have come from them.)

Favorite thing about the Zune I owned: I like that FM Radio is built-in. Con: the software was clunky, un-intuitive, and made simple tasks wayyyy too complicated.

Sold it off to a friend at work, got a huge Ipod. I love how simple the software is, altho I think I might have gotten too big of a unit. Filled tons of mp3s, full albums, videos.. and then noticed I've barely scratched the available space.
