Shock web any good?

I wanted to make a new and intersting assassin build, and thought Shock web might be a good place to start. But is it any good?

I was thinking of maxing Shock web, and Fire blast, and charged bolt sentry, and death sentry for the synergies (and also secondary use)

Put points in Burst of Speed, Fade, Venom, Cloak of shadows, Blade Sentinel, and Blade fury. And let +Skills carry those up to respectable levels.

But as you can see, I don't have a firm idea of where to take the build, and was hoping for viability advice, and suggestions for stat point allocation, refinement of the skill point allocation, and maybe some equipment suggestions (nothing too godly though).

So, any ideas for turning this vague idea into a solid build?

You are not the first one to get that idea.

Go to the assassin build guides sticky and seek out the Bombasin guide by DOC.

It's a PvP guide, but I see no reason why this shouldn't work in PvM.

Because of NextDelay, casting delay, and low damage numbers, you won't find Shock Web effective as a primary killer. It does ok as a supplemental attack while you're doing other things--FB or BF in your case, but usually while waiting for LS to do the dirty work.
