    I'm gonna start doing some in depth research - including extensive field testing - of all the shapeshifting builds. From then onwards I plan to write a strategy guide from my findings, a general shapeshifting guide...So input from the forum - my first question - how many points are useful in werewolf/werebear and lycanthropy? That's always something that I've been debating, whether just put in one point, and leave the rest of the bonuses up to items, or take advantage of the bonuses that the skills give you?

    Well... Werewolf basically just adds AR over time. In PvP this can be quite useful, but in PvM more than one point is basically unneeded.

    Werebear, I think, is more defense? Again, possibly useful in PvP, but less so in PvM. If you are scraping for points I'd recommend only one in each of these.

    I'd put the emphasis on the if you are scraping points.

    If you are makin'g a normal fury werewolf for example, extra 19 points aren't going to get you another good damage source (not counting carrion wind+rabies).

    At least I would put my extra points in werewolf (or if I had a bear in werebear) if I'm happy with the non-hybrid and can deal with PI's.

    without carrion wind, FR hybrid is completed at lvl 89
    quite doable.
