Shako vs Nightwing for blizz-fireball sorc

Shako vs Nightwing for blizz-fireball sorc

Just curious which is better for a blizz sorc..as i just found a nightwing although with only 8% cold damage.

mf is not an issue as I already have chars for this. Its really just a question of survivabilty, damage isnt that important.

Any opinions would be appreciated.

ok...to put it another way..if you had a blizzard-fireball sorc and you had no inclanation to magic find with it.

Would you rather use a shako or nightwing's veil?

8% isnt a major difference, I would go for shako for the mana/life bonuses.

I would still use harlequin. the 50% mf and life / mana boost are worth more to me then a "mere" 8% more dmg. With a 3k blizzard or so this means 240 more dmg. That's not all that much really. Nightwings to me is a pvp helmet , where you use alot more %cold skill dmg.

Blizzard + another tree is useless. Go with the Harly because you will need the Damage Reduction and Life/Mana mods simply because you won't be able to kill with the same velocity a Nightwing'd single element Blizzard/Orb Sorceress could.

For a dual tree sorc, Shako's hard to beat. Maybe a full tal's set, since it absolutely owns any unique set up...even the hoto/shako combo.

eh tals set is basicly useless for sorcs in pvp.

For PvM a Shako is way better than a Nightwings. Most monsters die with 1 or 2 blizzard shards anyway, so the 8% difference from a Nightwings is not going to make any difference. The life and mana boost from the Harly is way better

Nightwings would have been good if it had been perfect and socketed with a 5/5 cold facet!

Considering the majority of HC players use single tree sorcs, I think that the CI's arent really a problem.

Heh... I never get ppl with not fully synergized blizz...

I would DEFINITELY go for shako, no matter if blizz is your main skill or not, because not only is it cheaper with lots of +life +mana, it gives 2 to ALL skill which means your fb and blizz will both be going up.

Not going through all those synergy maths and all, nightwing gives you 3 in blizz, shako gives 2 fb / 2 blizz. 2+2>3 common math no? I could always be wrong though, and it depends on what you use most.

P.S. From what I have seen, ppl use blizz / fb mostly against pvm and I find fb highly more effective at pvm than blizz, unless accompanied by hi lvl merc.

Uhh, which nightwing's are you talking about? The one on this page has +2 to all skills, just like shako. Anyway, I think shako wins for a dual-tree sorc.
