It disgusts me when someone of a religious occupation speaks like he/she knows the answer to everything. Like the time I heard of a minister saying mid-sermon the reason the tsunami accoured was because they worshiped idols.

I heard of this yesterday. Disturbing. Hope they get their tax-exempt status taken away. Or have their priest switched in the middle of the night.

So 40 members get booted and the other 360 stay? The other 360 find what the priest did was ok? That priest should get the boot before the entire church suffers by losing their tax status.

Someone was telling me tonight that a church around where I live was handing out letters for the congregation to send to congress in favor of the nuclear option.

I love seperation of church and state, don't you?

A church is just another organization. They can spread whatever kinds of info they want. Now if the government were spreading info on what church to support, that's different. Church and state are separated, but church may affect state if it tries hard enough.

As for the priest demanding the "sinners" repent, well, he should be the one resigning. Moron.

He is hurting his cause more than anything. He is letting the media go, "Look what a religious freak! See they really are crazy! Every last one of them!"

Strip the tax exempt status and that priest should be removed from his particular sect.

He's a private citizen and has a right to have whatever opinion he wants. As the leader of his church he can conclude that the political views of John Kerry are not in accordance with the church's beliefs and that therefore supporting him is a "sin".

I didnt know freemason was a pastor. He allways strikes me as the blind follower kind than any kind of leader.

Mayby he was one of the members that didnt leave instead.

As far as I'm concerned church and state are two seperate spheres and should avoid any contact whatsoever. That way there really IS seperation of church and state not seperation of state from church.
