That's actually what most people do. There's also a bug in that you buy the SOJ back for less than you sold it for, thus you get a ton of gold on top of a guaranteed Annihilus charm. The traders don't want you to know this of course, as it bottoms out the market for the charms. When you sell an soj to a merchant on bnet, does it automatically disappear or something? I've always been curious since otherwise people can just sell and buy it back as many times as they want to spawn dclone.
You'll excuse me if I don't rush forth to try it. :whistling:That's actually what most people do. That's not true, at least, I don't think it is. I remember tons of times when I sold that useless cathan's ring to akara and still had the option to buy it back... :scratchchin:I wonder if anyone would actually try that if I had some clout around here. Uniques and set items both just disappear immediately on selling; no option to repurchase. I think rares hang around though? At least until the shop rerolls. I guess NPCs like green and gold as much as anyone else.
Not according to the Cathan's Seal I just sold to Larzuk - it sat there in his inventory, for sale, just fine. [edit: too slow.Uniques and set items both just disappear immediately on selling; no option to repurchase.
SoJs disappear when sold to a vendor and I'm a bit surprised about the reactions to the quoted posting which is obviously nonsense. We have Über Diablo for more than 3 years now and everybody and his dog would know about that if it really was like that. That's actually what most people do. It was a joke. Considering it takes about half a second of common sense to realize that's not true, and I admitted it was a joke in my second post, but thanks anyway. And yes, I made a mistake about the sets/uniques thing. Since I started using ATMA I have sold very few uniques, and those I did disappeared, but it seems it was due to etherealness/lack of space/some other effect. Sorry for the misunderstanding.lies. all lies. get a clue please.
