Selling Items For Real Money

Hello. I am going to buy Diablo 2 soon so that I can create a site for selling items from the game (for real money).

2 questions:

1. What are reasonable prices for most items like potions and things?

2. As a noob just starting out, what are some good tips for finding great items that people would want to buy?

If you want me to be more specific, just tell me what to explain. Thanks.

Yeah, you're gonna go far on this forum...

But, to answer your questions, I'd say those Mana potions can net you at least $1 a pop. That would be a good starting point for you.

To get items to help your business... beg. See all those people with the great gear? They have plenty, so that means they have plenty for you, too. Find a person with good gear, especially the ones that call you a "stupid noob" [that shows their set and primed to give you stuff] and never leave them alone. And if you happen to chance upon a Cracked Sash, auction that bad boy off for all it's worth.

And do be more specific on your plans. We all would like to know.

1. Potions suck and aren't worth anything in game much less real life. Anyway there are too many items to list prices.

2. Give up now. You will never be rich enough to sell items from a site. Maybe in 6 months of non stop playing you will have enough to have the occasional auction on ebay.

If you are going to create a site selling items for money, you will be unable to advertise or link to that site here as it is against the forum rules.

You can make more money per hour doing ANYTHING else. look at some of the selling sights (if you want to risk a virus) and see how little stuff here is worth in actual cash.

I had the same thought once but did the "due diligence" and discovered what a colossal waste of time it is.

Just my opinion.

Keep the ideas comming though....you will hit it eventually.

Dude, you are biting offf a lot more than you can chew in my opinion.

As a basic rule, anything you find in normal will not sell for money, 99.8% of what you find in Nightmare will not sell for money, and 99.0% of what you find in Hell will not sell for money. And that is uniques, set items and runes. Well, to be fair a couple jewels might sell, plus a few charms..

Encouraging, huh?

If you need to make money, I suggest a real world job. I know it is a radical thought, but you can really make money from it.

Every time someone starts a thread with, "this is probably the dumbest question ever asked," I think I'll post this link just to prove them wrong.

man just play the game and have a great time. If you do get really rich eventually, then knock yourself out and sell all you want. If not at least you had alot of fun playin the game right? nothin to lose. and the more experienced you get at the game youll learn what items are worth alot and what are worth nothing.

Hey, If your objective to play this game is to make money...forget it. You'll most likely make more money by working at the mininmum wage. But if you like to play the game itself and would like to make some money while doing that...check ebay and see what is actually selling. But honestly, it'll take a long time for a newbie to get the hang of the game, find good stuff to sell, then to actually making money off it. So I suggest that you just play the game for the game itself then decide what you should do later on.
