Seeking EC soft ladder players PvM
Here's the skinny...
I've been playing LoD since it came out, so I'm not a newbie, but until the past year, I was in the US military. For me, it's been like another mode of play beyond hardcore, where all my characters suffered from a terminal illness of some sort, and would die no matter what when I was deployed for 18 months at a time.
Now I'm out of the service and have the time to actually play a few hours a day and know that my characters aren't going to get deleted or expired. And here I am, starting fresh, late in the ladder season.
I think we all know what's it's like to start fresh and have no good runes, no high runewords, no smack-hell-Baal-twice-and-he's-dead gear, and try to hold your own on the ladder.
So, I'm looking for mature, no BS, FRIENDLY people to play with for East Coast softcore ladder games. The kind of people who just enjoy playing the game how it was meant to be played and don't get wrapped around the axle when it comes to things like wealth and having elite gear. The kind of people who play in a party, kill Ball, and instead of rushing the drops like a bunch of vultures, take the time to consider what drops would be most appropriate for what player. The kind of players who see a Pul drop and say, "You know, I've already got two, and I know this guy over here doesn't have one," and then let him grab it or grab and it give it to him. The kind of people who find a Vampire Gaze or Occy and give it away for free because they already have one. In short, the kind of people who are mature enough to play in a party and make decision based on the greater good of the TEAM, and not selfish impulses to try and be the most wealthy guy on the server. The kind of people who realize that an investment in the team now with lead to the entire team getting better things in the future as a result.
I'm NOT interested is duelers, friendly or not. I think it's pointless. Regardless of if you win or lose a duel, what did you actually gain? An ear? Waste of time, in my opinion. Diablo is a game, which means it's designed to be a fun pasttime to provide enjoyment, not a lifestyle or some type of ego trip where you have to fight other players to prove who has the biggest... uhh... body parts designed for reproduction, shall we say.
Currently, I've got a level 78 pure Avenger Pally, and level 60-ish sword WW barb, and a level 70 pure cold sorc that I use for MFing NM and NM countess runs. The Pally is slowly plugging away through Act 2 Hell currently, and I can't help but think that some other folks with a good attitude might wanna join up and reap the benefits of a level 25 conviction aura.
So, there it is. Feel free to add my account or message me here as I'll be checking daily. Account name is on-on_hasher
And for the record, I'm 31 and when playing, occasional smoke breaks WILL happen ;-)
*Edit* I am not opposed to the idea of starting a clan of sorts. No silly rules about it, no having to require people to use some initials in all their character names. Just a collective of like-minded nice folks who enjoy playing and helping each other out, sharing info and tips, and whatnot. A fun place for us 'outcasts' to play.
