Scenario Duels

Capture the Flag

Personally, I think scenarios would make Temple duels a whole lot more interesting. CTF seems like a lot of fun, and I'm sure we can come up with a few more scenarios. How about it?

Kinda OT but related. We could even do a modified Counterstrike where you have 4 vs 4 with one guarding a house. I wish blizz would have let us create our own maps. I heard about D3, I hope they let us do it then and maybe guilds so we can trade outside of a game.

sounds like alot of fun now just gotta figure out how to carry the flag and then drop it if killed, propably an easy answer somewhere but i just cant think properly atm lol

2 teams(3v3 or 4v4) at either end of the blood moor, 1 starts at wp for cold, other at town, the idea is to get 100k gold(or an item etc) from your enemies camp to your camp(use of wps is strictly prohibited) something along those lines

yeh i got the idea of that the problem i'm thinking of is if someone gets the flag but is killed while carrying it bk to base how will the other team return it or a team mate pick it up, the only solution i can think of atm is the person needs to get body and then return the flag to enimies base but this would disrupt the game...

i have an idea that you only get 1 life per round, so if you die, you stay in town, which makes it more dueling oriented and makes each person cautious of what they do.

what does everyone think of tele and vigor/charge, vigor/charge would make it hard for someone else to catch up with. tele would only be good with mages/hammerdins, while the v/t's would vigor/charge. mages/hammerdins would vigor/charge too i bet.

oh and i like the potion idea, that's what we did in my clan when we had ctf type games.

Check out my post for that. Once they get your flag, there isn't really much you can do about it but kill them. Because you can hide it anywhere, it's much easier to hide it and not guard it than it is to hide it and guard it. The reason being is, if you guard it, they don't have to be at the exact spot to see the flag. They can assume since that guy over there is uselessly sitting around, he must be guarding the flag. The trouble is really finding the flag, not so much getting it back.
 
I dont think this will work with the way D2 is. It will be a question of who can vigor charge over to the flag and vigor charge back first...

Ever heard of the alt key? :(
 
We can do a protect the MVP map, MVP can have full DR and BO and he cannot use any offensive skill unless it is base 1. MVP has to survice for 10 min with 3 of his BG...

this could be fun
 
ok... so there is a descent item for each round donated...

someone is supposed to be keeping track of time while the other 7 play capture the flag. it goes on for like 2.5 minutes or something and whoever has the flag at the end of the time, keeps it.

what you think?

But you still need to be within a screen range, not the huge range of seeing a player on the map. As for vigor charging, do you know where to vigor charge? No. It's a complete guess, and every place you guess wrong results in lost time. If while you are split up one of your team members die, you will be at a huge disadvantage with two people less searching (one to ressurect and the dead guy), so splitting up may not be such a great idea. It requires a little more planning than that.
 
uh it's not that hard to go look through the blood moor. And if you made this scenario like, "SEARCH ACT1 FOR THE FLAG" It would be the stupidest idea ever

How about you make it so one guy carrys the flag (X ammount of gold) and the other team has to kill him to get the flag

Problem with the gold idea is if they are in a party, they would end up sharing the gold. You could have teams then with no gold except the ball carrier and the teams don't have to party up. That also solves the part about people sticking together since they won't be able to see each other on the map too much. Maybe to make it easier, they could all be lvl 1 for example, no vigor charge, etc. The ump will be like a lvl 80+ char with bone prison, you goof, you are prisoned. How's that?

pitty body looting isnt in SC anymore it'd be alot easier, maybe protect the flag or something but the team protecting cant carry the flag so they'd have to then guard the corpse of the grabber while the team on offense would try to get corpse+flag back. (can only score if have bodies) then after X time winner is one with flag.
Or you could play it like tig (or tag same game) but you've got to hit them with a melee attack, and it must be a hit so that their life goes down.

vigor/charge/tele is only to be used for defensive for the team guarding the flag

no slow (obviously) including holy freeze

no wide area effect spells (blizzard, orb, hammers, hurricane, armageddon to reduce many deaths at once)

trappers may not use mind blast

no CTA, cries must be acquired by a barbarian

auras may only be used by paladins only (to bring together teamplay)

flagholder must WALK
