Scammed out of half a gem !

Earlier today I was trading an occulus with someone, we agreed on a price of I think 25 perfect gems. I was surprised that he just dropped about 20 on the floor and said the other 5 were in his other char, he leaves without the occulus to go get them for me. I was so suprised some random guy would just openly floor trade I gave him it for 20 when he came back in.

So this kinda of restored a little hope in my heart for the B-Net community. Anyway later on, a guy wanted a Naj's hellforge plate really badly. He was french but was asking quite nicely and not saying PLZZ PLZZ or anything annoying or stupid, just being generally polite. Since he had nothing of any value at all other than ONE perfect gem, and I had about 4-5 of these damn things sitting on a mule, I said id give it him for his 1 perfect gem as a favour. Couldnt be arsed to use trade window over 1 perfect gem, as I assumed he wouldnt really care about 1 perfect, and would have the decency to drop it, I floor dropped the almost free najs for him, he drops a normal diamond, says HAHAHAHAHAH and leaves the game.

So he scammed me out of half a gem, well go him. Kind of annoying since I've done him a favour, I know Najs arnt worth much, but would of been a real help when i first started playing, but to have someone scam you out of half a gem absolutely takes the biscuit :S

Well enough of these rants im sure you guys hear this kind of thing all the time and is probably a bit boring :)

Well, the rant is a little more interesting than the usual ones....the story about the 20 pgems makes the second story much....better, and have more impact. Wow, I feel like I'm responding to a regular column....

...Why are you doing drop trades when you can trade gems normally?

Back in the old days when Pgem trading where more popular, for a few gems I usually just drop trade. too annoying to see "you have to wait..", and sometimes you just don't have all the gems on one mule.

But it still sucks when you are trying to help someone and in turn he/she tries to trick you. I feel for you. This kind of thing makes me want to stop dumping items in free stuff games and just sell them to Ormas or whoever instead.

Exactly as the guy above says, I just opened the trade window to see what he had, and couldn't be bothered to wait 10 secs to open it again since I assumed he wouldn't be that much of an arse not to drop 1 perfect gem

Let us do a weighing sum! Count along with Danny!

20 Perfect gems on one tray.
    1 Diamond on another.

Now lemme do the math. YOU STILL HAVE 20 perfect gems!

Ok are you REALLY bothered about losing a perfect gem or are you just very very bored? :p You could have just given him the armor, seing as how it is worthless on the market anyway. Sorry but I feel for the french guy in this case.

I don't think it's about not having the perfect gems, it's about that Feeling Oblivion is being nice to someone and as a thanks that person scams him. That ones again shows how stupid and unmannered many people on battlenet are and that's just sad.

its the morality of the story in this case. it was a pretty rotten thing for the french guy to do =/. On a side note i dont know why najs armours are so worthless in SC..... in HC they (in my opinion) are the best casting armours your going to find. They absolutely rock, especially when um'ed :)

No im not at all bothered about losing one perfect gem, I have about 100 in my mules, it was just the insult of being scammed out of half a gem for basically giving him a free item, since he had absolutely nothing of any value, just the principle of the thing isnt it? Reason I wanted his one perfect gem was I already had 2 in that character, and a charm that needed cubing, so would of just been nice to get a reroll for helping somone out.

You feel for someone who gets basically a free item, SCAMS you out of HALF a gem, and types HAHAHAH ? You feel for the french guy? Don't see your logic at all there mate :S

I think you were scammed of alittle more than just a half. You need like. 3x3=9 Normal gems to get a perfect one. Not that it matters. :D
