    Saving save-files

My computer has crashed twice the last year and I am afraid of losing my singleplayer savefiles.
Does it work if I put all my files in the savefolder and then E-mail them to me, then if I have to change computer I can install D2, remove the save folder and put in the one from my e-mail?

Yes, this should work. You should make sure that you update D2 to at least the version you have now when you install it later.

I recommend using something like 7zip (free zip program) to compress the save file first. If you use ATMA or GoMule, you can also email your stashes to yourself.

Personally, I backup my saves/stashes onto a second hard drive, a flash device and email them to myself. Providing you date the zips it's a good way to ensure you don't lose anything. Just make sure you keep a note of anything you trade between backups so you don't create a dupe.

    Thankies :)
I am playing the latest version now so putting the savefiles into an unpatched game would'nt even work would it?

    ^they are compressed, normal zipfolder.

newer save files vers are not backward compatible with old vers of d2
