Sanctuary/Lawbringer question

I have a rift/dreamadin I'm working on, and was wondering if I put Lawbringer on my merc, would I also get the sanctuary aura, or just him? And would that be worth it, or is it better to stay with my act 2 defiance merc? (Try to minimize phsyical damage and maximage magic/elemental).

Only he would have the Sanctuary aura. It is quite a nice runeword, but rift can be made in a pole arm...

Are you sure?
When I give my act 1 merc a faith bow, we both get the benefits of fanata aura, including the IAS and AR, let alone dmage increase.

That's because Fanat is a "shared" aura (for lack of a official term) and anyone in your vicinity will acquire the aura.

Sanctuary is a "unshared" aura and only your character can have it.
