Sanc questions

Im looking into a good uber runner.

Was pointed to a good guide and figured i would follow it. It states i should use a sanc runeword sheild. My questions is whats the best base sheild to use as far as good smite damage to block ratio.

Also is max OS's for pally sheilds 3 or will i have to find a 3 OS sheild.

Right now i have a white zakurum sheild with 44 all res. will this make for a good smite sheild. I was on arreats summit and noticed that the zakurum sheilds smite damage is not the best. It has no low/high damage but their are other sheilds with beter max damage then this.

Would i be able to use a socket quest and get 3 os on this sheild (i found it from a wep rack at meph) I lvl 82???? i think.

Ideally, you would want a Sacred Targe with 45 res 15/15 Sup with 3 sockets.

Of course such a thing is a near dream (Blast you 45 res 15/12 3 socket ST lost to ladder reset!) but a ST is still the best IMO.

Any elite shield works for Smite damage, as they all have about the same average. Each has there own benefits though, but can also have cons. For example a Vortex has nice defense, but lower block. Others better damage, but higher str, etc.

Any elite shield that drops will get a max of 4 sockets Larzuk'd, so you will have to take your chances and roll it. If 4, Spirit, if 3 Sanc, if 2 Rhyme, if 1, you will cry yourself to sleep that night.

I'd use the Zak shield though if it gets 3 sockets when you cube it. Larzuk will give it 4 though just fyi.
