safety shield question

safety shield question

i was browsing the arreat summit webpage and looking at the crafted items when i saw that one of the base attributes on the safety shield was 5-10% magic resists.

What i was wondering is why no one uses a shield like this against bone necros or hammerdins. Couldn't 10% magic res. conceivably make the difference between winning and losing in a duel?

more fcr and skills from spirit is better
you also have more life (less fcr items, more fcr items) and better damage

If you are not caster, as barb you put second weapon , and get better killing ability

that 10% resistance is almost useless
