Sacred Armors/hidden absorb?

Wanted to know if sacred armors have a hidden elemental absorb(think it was 5%)? Perhaps a strange question but I remember reading this somewhere when starting out on first ladder. I really like the look it gives barbs and palas but as we all know the strenght req is pretty crazy... but if that hidden absorb exsist perhaps I might go with a runeword sacred this ladder too since it would feel a littlebit more worthwile to pump strenght abit more.

Sacred Armor has 5 in ‘absorb’ column. IIRC, it used to be like plain PDR (Damage Reduced By X), but it is NOT working now.
If someone has some time please test it on normal quill rats with Ancient Armor and Tower Shield and without them.
Here is the list of such equipment:

Armor PDR

Breast Plate 1
Field Plate 2
Full Plate Mail 2
Ancient Armor 5
Light Plate 1
Tower Shield 1
Cuirass 1
Sharktooth Armor 2
Chaos Armor 2
Ornate Armor 5
Mage Plate 1
Pavise 1
Great Hauberk 1
Kraken Shell 2
Shadow Plate 2
Sacred Armor 5
Archon Plate 1
Aegis 1

OK. I checked this myself. Normal Quill Rats was doing 1-2 damage per hit to my naked char. Ancient Armor did NOT cancel the damage. So:

There is no any hidden damage reduction on armors.

I think stamina drain is stored in ‘speed’ column. It is equal to R/W penalty, e.c. -10% Run/Walk Speed +10% Stamina Drain for Full Plate Mail.

.

If you like the sacred armor look, you should try shadow plate.
Shadow plate has the complete plate graphics.
Sacred armor is a semi-plate with plate graphics for most body parts, but quilted/dusk shroud graphics for the shoulders.

thanks for testing this, as usual there seems to always be bugs around making things not work as they are supposed too. At least Im guessing its meant to work since that table you posted said 5 point reduced. Although it isnt the end of the world, kinda makes no difference at all. 5% element absorb as I thought initially though... well that would be one ncie and powerful feature. :p

Ashen: Yeah shadow plate looks pretty neat but it doesnt have such a super high defence to make the strenght requirement worthwile to meat I think. But it might be a good choice for a 2h barb since the armor is heavy and gives slower walk/run speed.

The absorb column used to specify a small amount of PDR (not elemental) that each armour piece did. They took it out (deliberately) several patches ago but left the column there.
