Ryme In Necro sheilds
can you make ryme out of necro heads?
In a similar vein, can you make Lore out of barb helms?
Yo Stinger, based upon your answer to the question, I gotta ask. have you done this and how was it?
speaking from experience, yes
It's well worth it if you play the specific class a lot (i.e. 'Lore' in a Barb or Druid helm, 'Rhyme' in a Necro or Pally shield). The resulting item will in most cases be hell-viable (decent mid-lvl runeword mods + tasty inherent skills), the only problem is you can't use it on any other character class. This is a problem for me since I play every character class approximately equally, but for those who prefer to play mainly one or two classes... you get the point.
I myself only have one such item: a 'Rhyme' Sacred Targe with 57% resist all. Unfortunately I have no use for it at the moment as I'm using a rare with better mods.
I made a delirium helm on a barbhelm with +3 bo, godly bo helm now
Any Rhyme or Lore ...etc that has skills attached useful to the build is just rockin!
White (necro wands)
Leaf (sorc staff)
the knew KOKOMAL or the new 4 sock pally shield runeword are all just that much better in a shield with bonuses already!
i ALWAYS pick up wands and pally shields and Barb, druid Helms. Any of these could have good skills combos and then add a runeword or topz for MF or many other options like Max damage for duelers.
I have a 45 Priz 225 or so Pally shield with 4 sockets, also have a similar one with 3 sockets.
yeah, sure..why not? They just have to be white.
This is from Arreat Summit (since nobody bothers to look up info anymore  )

Yes, especially for untwinked play, this is something great to remember... get to NM with ghetto gear, run NM countess until you find (or can cube) a Sol, and make a Lore helm, or Rhyme in that shield, or whatever. Anyone but sorcs, sins, and javazons can take advantage of this.
Can u explain y a sorc / sin / javazon - can't take advantage of a LORE helm or a RHYME shield?
Cause they have no class specific items - relating to the original post - to make the runeword in
Necro and Pallys Heads/shields
Barb and Druid Helm/Pelt
Looks like the girls get a bad deal again
I think he means that there are no class specific socketed helms or shields for these classes.
K that makes more sense now....
Yep, what they said It's kind of lame that there isn't a runeword for sorc orbs... if there was something that wasn't too overpowered, it'd be nice.
Yeah the staff runeword isn't up to the task for higher level sorcs that need a shield for blocking/resists/etc.
