Do polearm runewords (Insight) work in 4socket Spears?

Haven't tried it myself, but I asked the same question in the Zon forum several months ago...answer is apparently no, as someone there posted that they'd tried, only to find their runes were wasted. The only words for spears are apparently the generic "melee weapon" rune words.

My best recommendation is get a crappy 6os spear, and make insight, a rather cheap runeword. If it works, great. if not, you have your answer.

Polearms/Staves only = not spears

You need four sockets for insight so it won't work in any 6os weapon.

polearms only if you wanna put it in a2 merk.
4socket for insight not 6.
do not get confused with spears with polearms.
