If you have the luxury of using both i would use all 3 items. However this would be primary focused on your skeletons rather than your poison power but i would still definteily do this if i had BEAST and CTA as they would just own imo.
IMO - Prebuffing your minions. I would intially use Arm of King Leoric to summon your minions first so that the +slvl for RS and SM are maxed. Intention here is even when you switch to another weapon in this case CTA on switch to use the warcries to beef up u and ur minions further. Despite losing a few minions they would retain the higher slvl. Your going to lose a few minions in numbers anyway but that ok because BEAST is going to be my main weapon of choice during combat due to fanatism.
Thus only have CTA and BEAST on switch. Renewing your warcries when needed. Your not going to need arm of leoric unless u want to replenish fallen minions or mass summon your minions again. With Extra health and killing power, it hard to imagine your going to need to do this often unless u bite off more than u can chew (which we have all done in one time or another) When using warcires BComm first and then BO. Battle cry is espeically good against mobs/bosses.
This would be my ideal setup if i was rich enough
Almost forgot make sure u keep beast (main weapon) on the same switch as the Trangs Wing otherwise your not going to get the bonuses from full trang set not to mention the strength bonus from the wing itself.

Just a thought. While I agree that CTA and Beast will increase your life and damage, you need to way the hassle of switching from Leoric, to CTA, to Beast. I just use Leoric and I have no trouble killing anything in the game quickly. For ease, you may want to look at just using Beast on switch. You really can't go wrong with either setup.
BTW, I'm starting to believe that the necro summoner may be the most powerful build in the game. He doesn't do the most damage or killing speed, however there's nothing in the game he can't kill efficiently. I can go games without ever being touched. Anyway, have fun!!!

As i have already said in my last post. Your main switch would be from Beast and CTA (just to prebuff) the warcries. The only instance your going to need to switch back to arm of king leoric (AOKL) is when you summon (initially from corpses). With BO and Fanatism your not going to be resummoning fallen minions a awful lot. They would be both tough and deadly.
IMO - it not really a hassle as your just switching CTA for AOKL (1 item) and even then it very infrequently and once your army is up it hard to see you needing to switch back unless you get yourself in major hassle.
All in all if i had AOKL, CTA and BEAST it would be well worth doing the switch. If you tried or used the any of the above weapons/runewords you would soon see the benefits.

Kfowler, I can kill monsters as fast as any other char class, due to my skellies high damage and corpse explosion... When my skellies kill a single monster of the pack I know FOR SURE the rest are all dead. I don't know why you said he doesn't do the most damage or killing speed... Have you tried CE and Amplify Damage together? What is true is that Summoners can't do anything without corpses... :scratch:kfowler said:
