    Runeword Question

Not that I have any high quality runes above Um, but if I were to ever acquire some of them, I have a question about putting runeword combinations in socketed set or unique items. Let's say I have an ethereal Hone Sundan (hehe :)) and just happened to have a Jah, Gul, and Eth rune lying around, would the Fury runeword bonuses be added to the weapons characteristics? Or would the weapon only receive the bonuses from the individual runes? Man that would be sweet, a Fury Ethereal Hone Sundan.

runewords work only in non-magic white weapons

if you jah gul eth'd a hone sundan you would only receive the rune bonuses without any runeword bonuses

it'd just be a hone sundan with ITD 20%AR & -25%def and would NOT have the 209ed 33%DS etc

To add to Ash' response, White and Grey.

White (When it has sockets) becomes Grey.

And grey can be either socketed, or be Ethereal.

Runewords won't work in rares, sets, uniques or blue(magical) items.

the thing that threw me off is superior armor. It has blue mods so I wondered if rune words would work.

So i tried it and now I am kicking myself for not trying earlier.
