Runeword Help please

After weeks of play, I finally got a Tal rune to drop last night!

I am following the Maximum Damage Hammerdin - A Mathematical Approach Author: captain_bogus

At level 17, get a 2 socket breastplate and put Tal and Eth runes in it. Breastplates require 30 strength and are ridiculously easy to find. Tal+Eth makes the excellent “Stealth†rune word. It gives faster casting, faster hit recovery, faster run/walk, and faster mana regeneration. Sweet.

Well I did this and it did not create the rune word "Stealth". All it says is "EthTal".....any ideas what I did worng? Thanks in advance.

if i had to guess, i'd say you put the runes in the wrong order

as stated above it seems you put them in wrong
should be tal first then eth
so you are out of luck on that one sorry

which releam are you in
and are you ladder or non

if you are any where on the east I will give you the rune
just don't have the armor

Well ,now that we have somewhat covered US East and West, I can add another"If you are on..." for SC Ladder Europe Somehow I'm not sure how it could be difficult to get a TAL, but who knows...

I don't stock breastplates, though, and Larzuk will punch 3 sockets into any breastplate. :-( Not sure how long it would take to come up with a 2 socket one...

you should know better than use a hel for such a easy to find item, besides if he is ladder between the two of us I am sure we have enough tals and other runes lying around to make him 10 stealth armors.

So if you are east sc ladder look me or jesse up I am positive that we can hook you up with something.

Two-socket breast plates drop all the time, so that's no problem. I'll look one of you up the next time I am on. Are your account names the same as your user names here on the boards?

Well I dont know if anyone noticed this butI get tal runes to drop all the time only when I need them they dont drop, same with other things. Whenever I cow I find gems and socketables all the time, but when I look for them they dont seem tp drop, or they do drop but in less amount.

Just like the other day wen I was searching for an eth rune, normally 2 cow runs should cover it, but I did 5 cow runs and found nothing but gems. Maybe its just that im pranoid and pay more attention to those tiems when I actually need yhem, who knows.

Didn't know that one...thanks. That's good to know. Although the breastplate wasn't the issue for me, the runes were. 2-socket breastplates seem to drop all the time for me.

You do realize that the countress drops runes almost every run right, she has a special rune drop. If you want runes up to dol, you can cube them up on NL, but you shouldn't have a problem getting the ones you need in just a few runs.

Nope..didn't know that one either. I knew she usually dropped gems...but didn't know about the runes. Thank you!
