Rogue mercs and pallies

    Rogue mercs and pallies

    First i wrote a nice intro and a story about mercs, pallies, and rogues but then u guys don't wanna read novels so I'll cut the crap:

    which of the following is best for a cold rogue merc if i'm a fanatic zealot, and intend to run ubers 60% of the time?

    1) Kuko Shakaku:
    Two-Hand Damage: (25-28) To (72-81) (48.5-54.5 Avg)
    Base Weapon Speed: [0]
    +150-180% Enhanced Damage (varies)
    Fires Explosive Arrows Or Bolts [Level 7]
    Piercing Attack (50)
    Adds 40-180 Fire Damage

    2) Riphook:
    Two-Hand Damage: (22-25) To (61-70) (41.5-47.5 Avg)
    Base Weapon Speed: [-10]
    180-220% Enhanced Damage (varies)
    Slows Target By 30%
    30% Chance of Open Wounds
    30% Increased Attack Speed
    7-10% Life Stolen Per Hit (varies)
    +35 To Mana

    3) Skystrike:
    Two-Hand Damage: (15-21) To (47-57) (31-37.5 Avg)
    +150-200% Enhanced Damage (varies)
    Adds 1-250 Lightning Damage
    2% Chance To Cast Level 6 Meteor On Striking
    30% Increased Attack Speed
    +100 To Attack Rating
    +1 To Amazon Skill Levels
    +10 to Energy

    4) Cliffkiller:
    Two-Hand Damage: (34-43) To (141-168) (87.5-105.5 Avg)
    Base Weapon Speed: [10]
    +190-230% Enhanced Damage (varies)
    Adds (5-10)-(20-30) Damage (varies)
    +2 To Amazon Skill Levels
    +80 Defense VS. Missile
    +50 To Life
    Knockback --------> this is bad for me, but maybe good for her

    These are pretty much my only options
    I can't make a BotD, so don't mention it!

    Rest of the gear will be: 2.8k defense STONE, and Tal rasha helm.
    I don't really want to trade for other unique bows, and the runewords are not very attractive.

    I tend to think the Riphook is the best choice since she wont do much damage anyway, but riphook has very nice mods.
    Also i'll be using drac's so she shouldn't normally die.

    If you feel there is a bow out there that is goldy for the rogue u can mention it!

    To be honest, I would highly suggest a dead merc. They will die because of stupidity even with dracs. If you insist of using it (and get killed in ubers because they lure all 3 out), then I would agree that riphook is the "best" choice.

    Thanks for the info!

    As always, you are there to answer my questions :smiley:

    I know about the problems about ubering with mercs, i've read your post. I don't intend to go with live merc in Uber tristram, but again, i won't be only ubering with this guy. The merc is there just to keep me company when collecting keys and organs with this pally.

    (He's still good for organs, right? I mean I don't have to build some "organ collector" just for them?)

    Speaking of mercs and organs collecting, can you guys suggest something for my smiter? He has some hating issues when it comes to Furnace of Pain and Iron Maiden...

    My current merc is a Harmony rogue with crappy armor and circlet (with leach and maxed resists except poison though). She definitively can get my smiter past those oblivion knights, but it's kinda... slow.... zzZ

    EDIT

    How about someone to duo run with? A char other than a hammerdin... maybe a Fishymancer?

    I'm gonna run for organs with friends (Cold sorc, light zon), so IM is only a partial problem.

    I have a LF/Plague zon I could help you out but you need to provide meditation, cause my merc evaporates.
