Rogue Merc, Enchant, Fast cast teleport PvP?

    Rogue Merc, Enchant, Fast cast teleport PvP?

    Has anyone ever tried this? Using a pimped out (gear wise) Act1 Merc, maxing enchant and synergies, and a fast cast teleport.. then just teleporting around and letting the merc tear your opponents apart? Viable? :scratch:

    well, the arrows aren't guided, so they will be easy to dodge. and unless its pubby, mercs aren't allowed. even then, its a pain to resurect them.

    Oh ya well definately only for pubbys, because this is cheap is so many ways.

    I dont think the fact that it isn't guided matters, especially vs caster types. Its just as hard to aim with firebolt/lightning, except that your merc is AI and will make a perfect shot every single time. :yep:

    yes i do it.. its lame but damn fun... i dont use enchant...

    i just have a act 1 zon sporting a shaelled WF with MAv diadem with 15 IAS jewel...

    i have so much IAS she fires lieka machine gun its pretty cool... the knockback from bear and WF keep oponents away while i tornadow them...

    its lame as hell... but its damn fun... and no they cant dosge the arrows each on is basically guided.... the computer aims VERY well...

    and when i tele around she gets 2 shots off b4 i can tele again... she fires FAST.

    they may be infinitely accurate, but they are accurate as to where the opponent is, not will be. in all of the fireball/lightning guides i've read you try to predict where your opponent will be and fire there instead of at them. You have to assume they are moving, they are idiots if they aren't.

    granted assuming it works, it will be greatly humorous, but a skilled fireball/lightning dueler would do better.

    Hmm not entirely true, the moment you teleport onto a certain spot is when the mercenary fires. So you can constantly teleport and get some hits in, while you have to stand still & fire a spell normally. This takes a split second giving the opponent a chance to react. If you teleport on top of your opponent it's like instant damage :thumbsup:

    I covered this in my previous guide (v1.00)

    Firstly the merc WILL land some hits (if you have dueled those sorc with rogue merc in the past.. you would know it's hard to dodge completely).

    Secondly, if the merc can't hit... your guided arrow will hit (widowmaker)

    So if the opponent runs toward you, then the opponent probably will get hit by merc.
    If opponent tries to dodge the attack, guided arrow will hit.

    Sounds kinda nasty .. huh..

    1.10 Act 1 Merc are NERFED heavily in 1.10. They were Godly in 1.09.

    They're nerfed because:
    Fire/Cold Arrow isn't guided anymore
    PvP Penalty Applies
    Hard to find Weapons.

    More casters in duels.

    They're still good to use.

    I think they suck for PvM Baal Runs (the only merc I would trust to use in a Hell Baal Run is a Holy Freeze A2 Merc with Botd Eth War Pike, CoH, and 40/15 .08 Gaze), but in terms of PvP (the subject of this), I would ONLY use a A1 Normal (lvled all the way up) Holy Cold Arrow Zon Merc with 40/15 Gaze, CoH, and either a WF with 40/15 or a Botd Hydra Bow b/c they cast slow missiles.

    Those three things were true in .09 too :uhhuh:

    PS- wtf, rogues don't cast slow missiles.

    If this is a public game build, I wouldn't expect many of the duelers to be able to react to 8 frame teleporting on top of them. As Soepgroente said, it's practically instant damage since they won't be able to move out of the way in time.

    It would be a rather interesting build to play around as.

    For fun why not throw in some TS, you'll have mor than enough points. . .I'm thinkin something like this

    -tele
    -ts casts stuns opponent
    -merc fires and does dmg

    rinse and repeat :yep:

    Does the lighting hose thing still in 1.10? Because if you had a BotD bow and a shako or a +1 skill armor, you could get that sweet lighting hose......The dmg and aimming would be way easier because its like the rogue is casting lighting (sorc skill).
