RIP Harvey Korman

RIP Harvey Korman

One of the best comedians IMO, has passed. I so did love to see him on The Carrol Burnett Show along with Tim Conway.

He was funny without being rude, crude or crass.

I know that most here don't know who he is, but I grew up watching him.

I too loved to watch him on The Carrol Burnett Show. Those clips from that show with Harvey Korman and Tim Conway trying their hardest to crack the other one up still make me laugh so hard I can hardly breathe.

I know..it was usually Conway who kept a straight face though. I hope TV Land has a day in his honor.

That would be awesome! Time to breakdown and buy a DVR. Damn, I know I must have some blank VHS tapes around here that I'm not using as bookends for my DVDs.

Quite a few skits are on youtube. The Dentist is so funny. Perhaps not by todays standards...but I just found it so funny.

I've seen a few skits from the show, at the insistence of Those Who Are Older, and this is by far my favorite.
(WARNING: A bit of harsh language at the end)

If I were him, that is the type of thing I would want people to watch at my funeral. Just me having fun with my friends.

That's not how I'll remember him, of course. To me, Harvey Korman is Hedy Lamarr ("THAT'S HEDLEY!!!!")

I haven't really seen anything he's been in. I watched the Dentist on Youtube, it was pretty good.

No Problem, Straight Men are really a thing of the past more and more now, and with that change so to dies a lot of the art of comic timing.

Bob Newhart is the one I will really miss when he goes.

I never really got what people older than me saw in Jack Benny but I have to think it's that same thing Bob Newhart has, and that to a lesser degree Harvey Korman had.
People today just don't seem to get how funny a pause with the right look can be...
