Indeed far better then most imbues I've done.
For me, Imbues work out about as well as gambling. 1 out of 10 being almost usable, 1 out of 50 being ok and 1 out of 100 being good.
I dare not guess as to what it will take for me to get a godly imbue(bessides level).

my results are even worse than that. my one, and only decent imbue, I did, after getting extremely frustrated, on non-ladder.

I was in the mid 80s, and while I now know it was pure chance, I had the best imbuable grim shield I could find. made a game, got "naked" (no not in real life) and then imbued it with my baba.

turned out to be a green +2 pally grim, dual rez in the 2xx range def. I don't recall if it had blocking, or fhr, and I think it's still on a lvl 7x FOHer that I lost interest in.

The only decent imbue I've ever had was on NL: a 155 BHam with low AR and no other mods.

my wife (and the neighbors) prefer that I not sit naked at the computer... as it's in our living room, which has very large windows...

Well, they don't *have* to look at you. Nobody is forcing them to look your way. Your neighbours will just have to aim their telescope at something other then the Klingons around Uranus.

You don't have to look to get a visualization. Eewwwwww! Thanks. Now I have to scrub my mind's eye with a brillo pad or something.

as one of Mike Meyer's infamous characters says... "I'm a sessy beyotch"

    :naughty:

hrm. guess we've hijacked this thread

back on topic, I know that the prevailing opinion seems to be, to wait for as high of level as possible.

however, I have several hell capable lvl 1 mules, and it had me wondering the other day, how a hell imbue would work on a level 1 char, and if perhaps it might churn out a godly LLD item. since they're only mules anyway, it might prove an interesting experiment/diversion for one of those times when virtually nobody else is online/playing, and I have the laptop home...

    hrm....

Well, you need to have level 8 at least to get the Imbue quest (I've done imbue runs) and you can get amusing things, but nothing great iirc.
At level 30-ish I think you can get descent ED. But you might want to check the alvls in Orphan's list.

Whatever you are aiming for, get your char just above that alvl to have the best chance at getting that mod.
The higher you make your char before the imbue, the more mods will be available to him, so less chance of getting the mod you want.

I've obviously never imbued at this low of a level, but I didn't realize that there was a level requirement on any quest in classic. interesting. I'll definately check out the alvls link.

This thread is my friend : http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=407854
No, really, the thread, not the person who posted it, I hardly know the chap. :)

(I realise this is within the 1 hour, able to edit time, but this is a reply to the reply to my post. Would be a bit odd and confusing if I where to edit that in there.)
