I knew it, I told this guy I used to have one with 10%fcr. He didn't believe me, but I haven't played in a while and was doubting myself.

Pretty sure they're LoD only. You can only get three Prefix/Suffixes but in LoD there's a prismatic ring mod. So in LoD, you could get one by getting say Prismatic/other resist(s) Rare Ring of the Apprentice.

In classic I'm pretty sure it's impossible.

Edit: To be clear, prismatic by itself would already be tetra, but another resist mod will make it say something like:

    5 FR
    5 CR
    5 LR
    10 PR

I don't know what happened to it, but there was a thread about a legit quad resist ring and it having something to do with pre-patched something or other I don't remember. So, I guess it is possible to get them.

Pris rings used to be possible(far before 1.09 afaik, which would count as a long time ago like the OP typed), but they do not drop anymore. You will not find them on the Ladder in Classic.
Such a ring could be legit on nonladder, but unless you found it yourself, don't count on it.

They dropped up through 1.06 with 15% resist all. Once 1.07 and the expansion came out, some of the better classic mods were removed, such as that prismatic ring mod, STR from boots, DEX from belts, and the ability for belts and amulets (and I think boots) to get 120% GF. Prismatic on amulets used to also give random resists in about the 16-24% range, like a prismatic amulet with 17 FR, 20 CR, 18 LR, 23 PR. Now prismatic is 16-20%, all resists rolled at once to be equal.

I don't know if you're referring to the suffix/prefix of prismatic, but I have many ammy's that are priz, with one or more stacked res on east ladder...

I'm refering to just the prismatic prefix. Any variance of resists is now only caused by a second modifier, like an amulet that is 18% prismatic and also rolled +35% CR, for a total of 18 FR/53 CR/18 LR/18 PR.
