    Repairing

So I'm on my hdin, with my Ethereal Snowclash Battle Belt(Spider got stolen =_=), I whip out my Cube, throw in a ral, flawed topaz, and Belt, click Transmute....Nothing.

I thought you could repair ethereal items this way?

    Is there any other way?

I have heard, but never tried, the idea that if you personalize an item it is repaired. This seems to affect even ethereal items. However I'd prefer someone confirm this, as I may be recalling incorrectly.

The only real use for ethereal items is on mercs, seeing as they don't degrade on them. Otherwise, they're pretty much only good for temporary use until you get one that isn't ethereal.

I also have heard that, but never tried it.
I believe it was confirmed though, so it should be safe.

i'd still give it a try, works or not. Personalising armor is probably the most pointless reward in the entire game pratically, and broken ethereal item is as good as dead anyway, so may as well give it a try, can't get any worse. If it works at least you still have a belt for a little while more until you find another one.
