Recording a web broadcast?

Im trying to record my boy's web broadcast with sound + original quality. The site has archives that you can download clips from in flv format, but they come in short clips and the archives are really iffy - alot of the time the videos wont even show up.

Ive done some browsing and it found something called wmrecorder or something like that- im not even sure if that will work... also I dont want to pay like $30(or maybe it was $40) for it.

If somebody could help me out with a program that can help me do this I would realllly appreaicate it.

im considering buying if I dont get something that works. Im nore sure if i need "WM capture" or "replay media catcher"
those programs claim it will capture them ...

im also tempted to look for torrents of those programs - but i just got a nasty virus on my comp (had to reformat) so im scarred lol

Are you trying to download streaming flash videos? There are plugins to Firefox to help you do that. I've had a bunch in the past but I don't remember all their names. I think the current one I'm using is called Flashgot.

Did you install it? When a flash video starts playing a little icon appears in the bottom right of the screen. Click on it and it should give you a download link.
