Rebuilding

So I havent played D2 in quite some time and was wandering through Hell act 5 the other day and Died !! Lost my level 80 werewolf and all his items . So now Im back to level 38 again and trying to make a choice of items .

I lost my Goreriders and dont have another pair . I also lost my Souldrainer gloves that I cannot replace . Just curious what others use for their Werewolves .

For what its worth this is for PvM - non ladder . And I'll eventually be wearing some or all of the following items .
armor - Duriels Shell
weapon - Messerscmidts Reaver
belt - String Of Ears
helm - Jalals Mane
ring 1 - rare
ring 2 - bul cathos ? or another rare
boots - ??? maybe Sanders ?
gloves - ??? laying of hands ?

Sorry to hear about your wolf passing away.
As for your new one, I'd change a few things...
- boots, I would rather go with goblin toes if you can tolerate the slow running speed when feral isn't active
- gloves, bloodfists are good too if you aren't running bosses or anything
- weapon, messerscmidt's reaver is fine I guess but some of the elite unique polearms might be better, bonehew reaches 5 frame fury and tomb reaver 4 frame fury when socketed right
- rings, if you are rich you could trade/craft blood rings

the magnus glovesa re good for Ar but Ill probably go for the laying of Hands

I dont have any of the new Elite uniques - just the Reaver

Im not sure - but I think I got a dual leech rare for one slot , Im definatley not rich

I would also have an upped Shaftstop I could use if I can find a raven frost ring . Im only considering Duriels Shell for the cannot be frozen ...

Resists > damage reduction in PvM. If you've got good resists you can generally leach back the damage done if not too badly mobbed. In my experience it seems like half the unique and super-unique monsters in hell curse you with amplify damage anyway, severely reducing the usefullness of damage reduction.

Just a friendly OT tip, don't reply in a quote box. I missed half of your replies reading it first time since I thought you were just quoting my text and didn't read and check. You can copy and paste the start and end of the quote thingies to break up the quote though.

Well the WW came along nicely and Im back to level 81 again . Thanks to MFing and Pindle I found a Bonehew . Added two shaels and kicking butt again ..
