(Re) Introduction Thread Hi guys! I used to post here a couple of years ago under the nick OneInTen, but since I now tend to use this nick now days, and it's been ages since I posted under that account, I thought I may as well make a new forum account and say hello. I figure it's time to de-lurk and post again. I've been a Diablo II player since the day it came out (bought the first copied sold from my local computer store ), but haven't really played the last couple of years. Shortly after 1.10 came out I had computer problems, and sort of moved on to other things by the time I'd sorted them out. After a stint on World of Warcraft (boy can MMORPGs take over your life worse than anything) I realised that Diablo II was more fun. In WoW, you solo for fun and party for items, in Diablo, the opposite, which suits me just fine. I don't really have any characters to speak of yet, I've fooled around a bit with 1.10 to refresh my memory from the beta. The summoner necro is quite strong and safe as I remembered, but also quite boring (and all necro builds seem to boil down to being an "explodecro"), so I think I'll leave him parked in NM for now and start something else. My favourite characters have always been the barbarian and sorc, so probably the sorc, since she's the best at shopping at the item supermarket of mephisto. Plus meteor & orb was my favourite 1.09 build, and it seems to be everyone's favourite 1.10 build, so it's worth a shot. Still have to see how 1.10 turns out for me anyway, looking forward to (belatedly) getting into this version of the game. I always felt 1.06 was the best patch, I'd probably still play it if you could play in 800x600 and use the /players 8 switch. Hopefully 1.10 lives up to that standard.
